Wounded E.O.D Warrrior Foundation! Please Help Our Soliders and Their Families!!!
Hey Fellow Rx7 Forum Members,
I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself, My name is Teddy, I have been an active rx7club forum member for many many years. Some of you may have had the pleasure to meet with me at different gatherings, car meets, seven stock ect ect.
Some of you may or may not know that I'm an active participant in many different charitable programs through out the year From MS Bike rides, MS Walk/Run marathons, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Bike rides, Regnar Team Runs, to long distant bike rides, to different types of runs, marathons, so on and so forth all for different causes.
Th reason for this thread is because I'm in the works to train and ride for the Wounded Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Warrior Foundation (WEODWF). This event take place October 7th, 8th, 9th which is the same weekend of my birthday. The bike ride is 200 Miles long, starts Up in Santa Monica and makes it way down all the way to Sunny San Diego at Sea port Village in the Down Town Area.
All participants who choose to ride are each obligated to raise a minimum of $1000 in donations. So I come to you guys seeking help to reach my goal.
What is EOD?
EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. EOD is a joint service military occupational skill, which means that EOD Technicians serve within the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force. The program is strictly manned by volunteer candidates. Personnel that choose this field are specially trained at the EOD School located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
On average, there are over 7,000 brave men and women serving as EOD Technicians within the four services. The Technicians are responsible for disarming, rendering safe and disposing of a variety or unexploded military ordnance and terrorist devices, normally called Improvised Explosive Devices or IEDs. IEDs on today's battlefields are responsible for the majority of fatalities and severe injuries to our troops.
How You and I can help...The Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to the Wounded EOD Warriors and their families in the form of financial relief. The resources provided by the Foundation to the wounded and their families are above and beyond the budgetary constraints of the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs. We believe that families are an integral part of the healing and rehabilitation process and strive to keep them together during the most difficult of times.
The Foundation depends on fundraising opportunities and donations. It is the generosity of all of us that allows the foundation to offer "compassionate solutions" to Wounded EOD Warriors and their families.
In closing I have provided a web-link that will take you to my page for he/she to make any contributions that your are willing to make. Remember any donation large are small will help active, inactive military EOD personal and their families as a source of financial relief to help them in anyway possible. But also at the same extent you are helping me reach my goal of raising $1000 to participate, and bike ride this event.
Here is the direct link to my page with a brief summary of why I'm ridding for this event, and why this event touches and moves me personally to participate in the bike event.

Thank you in advance for your support, and helping me reach my goal.

208 and views and not one donation, and with 5 weeks left to raise the money, I'm getting really nerved wrecked. This event is really near and dear to me, and any and all support from donations in and out of this forum would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking or asking for $20 donations from anybody, I know how the economy is hurting everybody right now, and money is tight for everybody these days including myself, but a couple of bucks here couple bucks there will go a long way and really help me reach my goal for this event. I know I will be making a large contribution out of my own pocket to cover the remaining balance, but for what ever it is worth any help will really help me reach that goal to do this ride.
thank you in advance

Well I was able to meet my goal midnight before the morning of departure on October 7th. We rode our bikes for a total of 180 miles
This was an event I will never forget, and I look forward to next years ride
Not sure how many from this forum donated, but I do give a thank you to the one person from this forum who did mention they donated to the cause to help my reach my fund raising goal.
And a huge thank you to Alex Rodriguez for making my thread a sticky to get the word out there...Thanks Alex
- Total riders amounted to 75 riders they keep it small for and due to insurance purposes.
- EOD Navy and Marines active inactive or retired.
- EOD amputees from combat training or from Bomp disposal during war time on the field.
- EOD Navy and Marines officers active inactive or retired.
