Well if MazFest is any indication, it is tough out there. We are hoping to get MazFest together next year, maybe, but if we do... you guys have a whole year to get it together.

Anyone cool with the guys at Speed Ventures? They do Miata Challenge and S2k Challenge on almost all tracks in CA including Spring Mountain in NV. Only one they haven't included is Chuckwalla but prolly cuz it only opened up this past march/april.

There are 3 classes, all based on points: Unlimited, Modified and Street. Get points relief if you have safety devices like a roll cage/bar, extinguisher, FIA seat, FIA harness, etc. Funny **** like -1 point if you're a female, +1 for too much RICE.

Check out: Miata Challenge Rules to get an idea

Do you think our broke asses can really afford and drive up and down CA to the different tracks?

Yes, i know that.

so...do you represent Speed Ventures? or was that an indirect complaint on how it was handled? I'm sorry, i've not met you yet and i cannot decipher the context in which you wrote it in, nor from the whole of the thread.

Nor I've had the pleasure of meeting you.

The response was just a statement of fact with neither negative or positive connotations implied. I do not work for, nor represent interest in Speed Ventures; I was on the organizing side of MazFest. I've also organized several Mazda based events in the past, including several all rotary and Mazda track events... and shows like SevenStock.

I didn't know you guys were still posting here. If we can get about 7 or so cars interested I can try to get an event going.
