It's highly likely that the car was stolen using a tow truck or flatbed. The car doesn't hold an idle when it's cold since it's untuned, so it's not very easy to drive.

In that case, there's only one solution. The Mad Max solution.

I've always said, "The best burglar alarm in the world, is the sound of a burglar, screaming."

we that is of course if the thief has been stocking your car and observing your security on the car... if you think about it, it was very easy to take off the steering wheel assembly to put on a hub and quick release... and the other way around

I have somethinf very similar to this pedal lock i keep on my fc at night. It keeps the pedal from being depressed and ideally un driveable..

http://www.skymall.com/shopping/deta...53-_-102535716

I got mine at an auto parts store for less than thirty bucks.

This is Matt, I think we should all be aware now that these cars are becoming very popular in the automotive community, I know that a real rotary enthusiast wouldn't even dare doing this to another rotary enthusiast. This is not the only incident that has happened within the last week, whoever is doing this is either really good at stealing cars or is a fake in our community. none the less, he did it.... here is a rundown.

We should all be very careful now when we sell things online, let's not try to make them go to our houses anymore to avoid things like this.
It might sound shady if you say "lets meet somewhere else aside from your place" but its just protecting our best interest.

second of all, if at all possible, park your cars inside! or do something to defer the car from being stolen, we all know that we can unplug one thing on our car and the car won't start. do that as a precautionary measure.

and if anyone knows any information, please contact the Mac family. They have been through alot. They are all good people with good hearts, this is not something that they deserve.

toodles

friend had that, we got the car back with a destroyed transmission and the clutch sensor was cut so they could start the car, guessing the just revved up and forced it into each gear.....

as for OP, ill keep my eyes out down here in san diego for any parts that may pop up, sorry for your loss, best of luck

Then why did they break into the car? I work at a dealership and I see car all the time that have no key and come off flatbed's. I mean who breaks into a car just to tow it.

Whoever stole the car is some ricer loser I'm in Pasadena I'll keep a eye and a ear out for ya.

Not many people have those SSR Reverse Meshes, so if you see them for sale somewhere, that should raise some questions.

They're 16x7 and 16x8 +40 ET
Tires are Sumitomo HTRz
I pretty much ***** the zilvia wheels/tires section daily, and I will definitely keep an eye out for these. best of luck, rx guys keep your guard up.

I'll keep an eye out in the valley although I doubt it'll be in this area. Course you never know.

Also, everyone should have a hidden fuel pump switch installed on their car. It won't stop a determined thief with a flatbed but it'll stop the chuckle-heads with a lock pick set (or window-breakers). Some folks pull the fuel pump relay after they park.

Mechanical they'll cut/adapt, electrical they'll try for a bit and move on.
