Thanks for clearing that up Casey, I was a little confused to. You guys know how I am with a wrench though. I'll be back by the time the snow is gone from the mountains.

Damon, it's a good thing you enjoy wrenching; I think you've already spent more time building that car than driving it!

If you're going to open the new motor before installing it, I recommend carving grooves in the coolant passages (of the rotor housings) while you're in there, especially down near the spark plugs and exhaust ports.

Best of luck,
-s-

I think I'm just going to re-seal it before I install it. If it blows, I'll get another or rebuild. My old engine is almost out and I'm really stoked to be going RE. By the way, my car has definatly spent more time on jack stands than wheels. I think the wrenching is at least half the fun.

Yeah RE drifter really needs to get his spit together. I'd help him work on his car if he ever acted upon it.

Here's a pic. By the way, my motor/tranny is out and almost ready for sale. Just need to pull off some of my mods and and wire harness. My RE is ordered and will be delivered as soon as this engine is sold. By the way guys, if anyone needs an S4 T2 long block/tranny I've got one. It has been resealed, new thermo delete, waterpump, dual pully set-up, emmissions properly blocked off, new uim/lim gaskets, all new silicone hoses, new TPS, mazdatrix racing oil by-pass, new thermostat,a bunch of other stuff, and runs stong with only 33k mi.

Polishing rims is tough, and very messy too. At least you understand the fundamentals of how your car works better than most fc owners.

Thanks Casey. I can't wait to see a shiny RE in that engine bay. It's gonna be bitchin'!
