Oh no Jason, sorry to hear about the accident, I guess the accident bug is going around amongst all of us. Have you begun repairs yet? Well work has begun on the red Rx7, it is slow but at least it has begun. Hopefully it will done by the summer LOL.
Hey Casey nice paint job, I like the blue

Should have had Michelle take the pics!
Well yesterday I felt my alternator was dying so I took it out at 9:45 in the morning and went to Autozone. They tested it and confirmed that it was dying. So I returned in, got a series 5 alternator from them (lifetime warranty!) and since the price of the series 4 alternator has gone down since I bought my first one back in 2006 (and replaced it 3 more times since then) I got $13 cash even with the higher price of the series 5 alternator. So I spent all day rewiring the car which really was no big deal. I made 4 trips to Kragen across the street to get various connectors and finished the job at about 4:45pm. It took a while for me because I'm bad and inexperienced at wiring. I started the car and the voltage was perfect so I took it for a drive.
As I was driving up Haven, I hit a stop light at Victoria with one car in front of me. I look in my rear view mirror and theres a black Toyota Matrix coming at me fast. At the last second she slams on her brakes and slides right into me, lurching my car forwards. My ash tray popped out and my turn signal broke off (what the heck?). We pulled over and my bumper was pretty scratched up and my exhaust was bent and sounded like crap so I knew there was a leak somewhere; she must have compressed the exhaust when she hit me. Her car was of course fine. I got estimates today and its going to be $50 to fix the exhaust, $1052.30 to fix the rear bumper. We're meeting up tonight to handle it so please pray that everything goes smoothly.
So how is everyone else's cars going right now? I'm the fourth person in the last few months from our San Bernardino meet to get in some sort of accident. First was Johnson, then Kevin, then Travis, now me.
Johnson - Have you gotten a shell to swap your parts over yet?
Kevin - How is the body work on the red coupe coming?
Travis - Did you and that guy work everything out yet?
Will - WHERE ARE YOU?!

Oh man Kevin your car got messed up pretty bad. Its really going to take a couple months to get it fixed? And no, I have not started repairs yet because I'm getting this weird hesitation at random times, random rpm, random throttle amounts. It almost feels like a rev limiter. One of the guys in the FC tech section said to check the gas tank and fuel pump, which evidently is by the gas tank. I did not know that haha.

Hey guys, I'm trying to buy an aluminum N/A flywheel off this guy, and he says its an older model Fidanza. I want to put a friction plate on it before installing it, so I asked him if friction plates were still available for it since its an older model.
Here is what he said:
"Every n/a flywheel i have seen/used with a friction plate they were all the same, it was the billet that looked different sometimes. Here is one website...
http://www.coolcarpartsonline.com/cl...971c8a4d12048e
Judging by other ones I have that are 8-9lb it feels the same but I have not weighed it exactly. At the moment the only s4 counter I have is on my car.
Thanks
Keith"
Do you guys know if friction plates are all the same?

Cancel that, found the answer.
"Please note: Only compatible with newer Fidanza flywheels with the 18 bolt pattern. Please count the number of fasteners on your flywheel as these will not work with the older 20 bolt pattern flywheels!"
