yup, the new tires should kick butt!
I looked em up, nice tread design. I wouldntt be suprised if teh contact patch is the same considering they have less grooves.
softer compund should mean more go fast.

hey damon, whats cracking dude, now is teh weak coast? as for the sound, ham radios can definitly do that. i used to get trucker **** all the time. that means the wire for the speakers is to thin and is picking up the emi from the air. it is some scary **** tho. it is due to thedm using boosters and what not for thier radios

Well...I'm going to have to make down there...but I do have a new EVO and it does have electronics on it...which may aid me in driving better....so...what happens if WHEN I bet the record....will that be the next reason for loosing the record? LOL!!!
Or how about this....race the FD, and the EVO.....but the 7 has a large turbo...and its laggy....so I'm prepping my excuse already....LOL!!!
Reality is that I most likely come close to your guys record...but I'm having fun joking with this...so that is all that counts. Caus e if your not having fun racing....then.....well......hang yourself!! j/k
I need to get down there.....look like fun...considering my office is one exit east of the track!!

Rick- Things are well in The dirty south. Heading off to the Smokey mountains( pigeon forge/ Dragons tail) For a 50 car+ yearly Starion meet in a couple of hours. No wife no kids for 3 days. Should be a nice break from the daily grind.
Hope everyone is well and has a fun and safe 4th!Damon

I will be there next week also and hopefully be driving my new addition by augusts meet.
The custom driveshaft was delivered yesterday so all I need left is a few small items. Engine is running perfect right now and after finding cracks in my LIM, installing new o-rings on the injectors.
Exhaust is a little to quit but sounds great. Running collected RB headers to a full RB rev TII exhaust system. I had to cut of the old 3in flange on the presilencer and welded a new 2 1/2in flange at a different angle and distance to let the system all bolt up.
After working on my last turbo 7 were the previous owner shortcutted just about everything I am making to do this one right, this project should be more reliable than my current v8 setup and almost as quick.
The engine is a S5 rebuilt by me with a medium-large street port. Running all s5 electronics including ecu with a rtek2.1 chip (regret not just going with a standalone for the amount of time and money involved with this setup). Both VDI and auxillary ports are functional with Pineapple Racing sleeve inserts. Decided stock intake with K&n filter is superior to all the aftermarket hot air intakes. Exhaust as mentioned before is a custom complete system by Racing Beat.
Not a mod but did a manual swap using a gem of a TII tranny.
Next on the list is suspension components and a GTU's Differential. I am just stoked that this project is nearing a point were I can drive it after almost a year.
Thank you Jesse for the clean low mileage Fc and Transmission.
Thank you Robert for all the advice and engine components.
Will keep you guys updated with pictures.
