I would say it has something to do with the placement of the sensor, whether its on the coming or going side of the pump or something...

aftermarket gauge is shorting out somewhere or is just a cheap guage. stock oil pressure should never be higher than about 71 psi. Also don't trust the stocker because they are almost never accurate. Based on what your saying the pressure is right were it should be and I wouldn't worry about it.

this next answer is reaching but is an option. Check your filter since it is upstream of the stock regulator valve in the rear iron and after the sending unit. the pressure control valve in the front cover regulates the maximum pumped pressure to 156psi. If the flow was to be blocked at the filter the guage would read up yo 156psi. I really doubt this is it though and have never heard of it happening. just ignore this post.

Hey Guys.... the seven is running smooth. Still some bugs to work out.. minor though. Will and I went for a drive today. Sunday cruise I called it!! Currently only running 10.8 psi(waste gate), about 1000 or so miles on it. Looking forward to the dyno, and 15 psi on pump real soon. I wanted to get more miles on it first. The car has a really nice pull thru the RRRR's....a kind that puts a smile on your face!!
Will can throw in a opinion if he likes!!!

Great news RedBaron. How many miles do you want to put on the engine before you turn up the boost and dyno it?

I have some concerns as of last night with the car. Will and I did a compression test to just see how things are. The motor has about 90+psi in each rotor. Which for a new motor should be over 100psi. The rotor housings were NOT new but cerment coated. The car runs great, and pulls really good. SO the option maybe to pull the motor tear it down and put NEW rotor housings then put it back together. I would do this myself, with a little help with someone that has done it before to coach me through it. Or I can just drive it how it is.....

^^I have tested several motors that I have gotten in the past. None of them have been over 90psi with the miles that I have had. I first tested this motor it had 120psi...but it also had the assembly grease in it too...so taht help a lot to seal the motor.

it could be that its not broken in yet. of the seals are still not worn to a fit the test will show low numbers..... keep driving it. wait anohter 500 or so miles, then try again.

your not using syntetic are you?

Rob, Fenders are cut, all seems like it might be ok. only alittle concern that I didnt cut enough. hopefully I dont cut down the tires.... but I dont want to cut more then I have to either.... we will see tommorrow.
