Hello everyone, I just found this thread and thought I would introduce myself. I moved out to Rancho about a year ago. I've been going to the Socal Rx meets that used to meet at Ricky's and Ronnie's in Torrance for a while, but they closed down and I don't know where they are meeting now. I'm going to try and make it to your next Saturday meet. Also I've been going out to Adams on Thursdays and I made it out yesterday and during the Saturday event to watch. I think I've seen a couple of you guy's cars on the track. I'm working on getting my vert out there for the next Saturday event, workers told me May 9th.
By the way, my name is Derek

Another s4 TII, huh? Greenman and MaczPayne have even more company! I think Honroc is the only one left with a series 5 FC, and he hasn't been to any meets in a while. Also, +1 for the red car club!
I looked through the album on his Myspace of his RX-7. Hes running a j-spec s5 turbo swap, just like Johnson.

I suppose I should share what I've been doing:
Assembled and ready to go:
I hacked up the stock downpipe along with some new metal to make a downpipe that would work with my setup. I made this outside of the car so I made a jig to position where the outlet would sit.
V-band wastegate mount
Braided fuel lines
Now this is the good part, Many people have problems getting something to adapt the stock hard fuel lines to aircraft hoses. I present this custom gem that only a few are aware of, double o-ringed with a locking clip to clip onto GM style flanged lines. I had to cut and flare my lines to accept these things and the finished product is great. This blows those ferrel compression fittings away.
Here is the fitting on the hard line

UP!
UP!!!
AND AWAYYYY!!!!
Stock engines are sooo crayzyyy!
4 rotor, did I do it rite?
Don't worry, baby. It will fit, I'll be gentle and slow for ya.
Told ya it would fit
Added a dump tube for the wastegate, excuse the shitty welding.
The only place a resonator would fit:
The all important water and oil gauges from my race car, white doesn't look good in here.
Grinded off all the mounting crap off the intercooler for a fresh start.
Scratching my head on trying to make this cover work, I need to increase the brake I think.
Anyway it runs and drives. I'm waiting for an oil pan brace (leaky ******), a GReddy elbow, a BOV, and a 3 bar map sensor to come in the mail. Everyone is so slow right now on getting stuff out.

No Problem, got to get that school in, we all have been there. I am going to try to get out there on the 28th to check things out.
I wish man. I've got classes for the next 6 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:15 in Pomona. Taking the 60 or 10 freeway to Riverside from there would take so long that it just wouldn't be worth it to me. This summer I'll definitely hit up Adams though, hopefully including the occasional participation on Tuesdays.
I want one! I just know you wanted one wayyyyy more than me, so thats why I pointed out the 626 to you! But after I paid and dropped my junk off in the minivan, I came back in and searched for another 626. So if you ever come across one, let me know and I'll head down and snag the lip off it. Or if you happen to see an early model S13, grab the lip off it. But as we discussed, I think any S-chassis wouldn't last more than 20 minutes in a pick-a-part before its stripped to the frame.

Glad to see everyone is doing well! Things have been a little crazy for me lately but it finally feels like we're beginning to settle in. To sum things up.. house is well, kids are well, and I'm almost done unpacking. Won't be official until I can park the Quest in the garage. Here's some pics as promised.
