So a friend and I are heading to Gameworks tonight at about 7:50pm. I stop to drop off some movies at Hollywood Video on Day Creek just below the 210 freeway. I'm driving down and just above Baseline I see a black GT-R with paper plates in the left lane doing 40, stuck behind a car. The speed limit was 45, and I was doing 50 in the middle lane as I go by him in 4th gear (relevant because it shows I wasn't being stupid). I have my window down, and at the next light, this guy pulls up next to me blaring hip hop. I didn't even look until he turns the music down and loudly says to the other two guys in his car, "This guy is in a f***in' Mazda," with just that snooty tone that gets to me so well. So I look and the guy looks a little younger than I am (I'm 19 for those that don't know), and the two guys in his car look even younger than him, about high school age. So after I look over, he yells at me with the same tone, "My tires cost more than your car."
It takes a heck of a lot to get me angry or mad at all, as I usually brush it right off. And thankfully I kept my cool here too and just decided to casually say, "Cool" and smile. But insulting my car is about the most direct way to get to me. Well that or hurt any female in my life.
So I just figured I'd tell you guys my little GT-R story
Background story of my area:
Day Creek is a very upscale new area of our city with some very nice houses. I went to high school with the people there, and its definitely a different environment than when I visited other schools in other parts of Rancho Cucamonga. People had some incredibly nice cars and gigantic homes. It sure made walking through the parking lot and visiting houses of friends a real treat.

Casey, that valve cover looks awesome! Once I find the valve cover on my FC I'm doing the same thing. The pulleys look great too. Did you have to use any sort of special paint for high temps when painting the valve cover and pulleys?

I just used cheapie paint... we will see how it holds up. the good thing is I never really run the engine real hot for any long periods of time.
the pulleys came red. I just drilled and cut them.

Yeah definitely come! Don't forget either! (cough cough Jessie)
Yes you should!
I read in a writeup that Miatas run great with FC throttle bodies. Why aren't you running one of those? (that may have been for NA generation engines only)
