Nothing really too special. I don't know how fast the car is in terms of 1/4 mile or how much horsepower I make. Unfortunately right now I'm on the stock intercooler, I'm waiting on finishing a Haltech job into a Mitsu Eclipse to get a Spearco to throw on there.

I did manage, however, to outrun a Ferrari 360 Modena at Willow Springs yesterday, on the straights (he couldn't take the turns, but that was driver, not the car). And before heat soak, I'd match up against my buddies C6 Vette. I couldn't outrun him, but he couldn't catch up to me. This was coming out of turn 7 and between 60 & 100 mph. I was impressed, with the correct intercooler and intake air temps down below 150, the car should be a hell of a lot faster. My boost controller is set to 8 psi but the car would constantly climb to 1 bar in 3rd and 4th. I could hardly hit full throttle, except for a couple times. In an attempt to help save the motor, due to the high intake temps, I never went above 7K, and ran a 80/20 mix of 100 octane & 91 octane.

I prefer twisties myself, cause I can't seem to launch well when I'm trying to drag. But I'm down for both. If were hitting up a canyon run, you definately won't catch me going ***** out - too much to lose with nothing to gain there - but on the track, I'll give 110% of what I've got.
Nice FD!!!! I'll be at the next meet, it would be nice to see some more FD's there. What's your HP?

Thanks! No idea on the HP yet, I'm gonna wait until I mount the new intercooler before I hit the dyno up.

Man I'd love to hit that up, but I'm committed to the Drift Buffett at Irwindale that weekend, gotta play tech support for a sickly and uncooperative Turbo II.

EDIT: Also giving everyone a head's up, I'll be hitting up the Open Track Racing event on January 18th, next year, at the big track @ Willow Springs. Registration is $145, $150 if through PayPal. The guys who run it are real laid back, and you get lots of track time. Anyways I'm not sure if anyone wants to, or can, go to this event but I figured I'd give everyone some advance notice if they were interested.

From the wording of the flyer, the practice on Dec. 10th might be full before we even mail our checks in. I think our best bet would be to mail a few checks in one envelope, and try to somehow get it postmarked very quickly.

January 14th, however, is hosted by my club, so I can guarantee that we all get in, especially if people are willing to help set up early on Saturday morning. It also happens to be the second Saturday in January.

your car is more than qualifying trust me...
it just has to be in good shape like no leaks,
good brakes, good tires, and all lugs are on the wheel (no missing lugs)

Requirements are no leaks, a battery tie-down, covered positive battery terminal, at least 3/32nds of tread, etc. They'll allow a M-85 motorcycle helmet your first time, but they prefer at least SA-95 or newer. If you hit the website up, the tech form will be on there, check it out and you'll see the requirements. OTR rocks in that they won't tech your car, they go on the honor system. So just check everything on the list and you're good to go.

You'd better hit this race up dammit. There were two rotaries at the track, my FD and a RX-8...but I never saw him run. But yeah that would be pretty sick, some badass FDs tearing up the track. RedBaron, you, and myself all shooting flames and getting crazy...

I'm going to make the January event. December my car is getting tuned, wont be able to make it that month. But forsure count me in for January. I plan on tunning for 550whp is too much for the track, but 15psi(400whp+) will be fun enough.

I'm not sure where my power is, but I should be around the 400 mark at 15 psi myself, even with the crappy intercooler. Just make sure your brakes are up to par...at those power levels, you'll get brake fade in a hurry with stock equipment.

The brakes that I have are 13.5" rotors AP racing brake set up(4-piston) and Drilled rear rotors. They work really GOOD!
