Did you find out why your V8 seven was out of oil? Burning it, or leaking?

That dyno sheet looks like a seismograph. It's jumping 5hp within a couple hundred rpm's in a pattern almost. The way it drops at 5k looks like a piston motor.
Rob- where you at yo!

Looked it over and I didn't find anything as to wear the oil was going. I am just going to keep a better eye on it.
As for the rotary engine, unless I can repair the coolant seal side wall I am going to have to trash two of the irons.

Hey Jason, you made good horsepower for a S4 na engine. I hate to tell you but Street porting a 6 port engine does not get you anymore horsepower. The only thing you can do is adjust your tps, and change the plugs. IIt would not hurt to have the injectors cleaned.
Thanks Robert

Another shameless starion ad from me. With some of the ads I find it's hard to believe they only sold 3-6k cars per year.

So 109.6 is actually where I should be at? So the only thing wrong with my dyno graph is the jumpiness, right?

I am now broke due to my recent purchace, but I will gladly buy you and your girl lunch at the next meet if you dont want the tranny anymore.

when do you want to get rid of the car? (or did you already?)

Jason, 110 h.p. to the wheels on a car that pulls 148 to the crank when it was new on its best day, is not bad. that means you are losing 38 h.p.

most of that will be lost in transition to the wheels, so 25 or 30.
which would mean the other 8-13 h.p is simply due to old seals, dirty intake, hot day, old plugs, old wires, old injectors.....

sounds about right to me. :-/

and Rob is right, porting a 6 port does not do much. is it worth doing if your building your motor anyways. yes. but dont expect a major h.p. gain. its just the nature of 6 ports.

Yeah, I guess I need to come to the realization that on an N/A RX-7, this is about all I'm gonna see, haha.

Yes I still have the parts but I really don't have time to pull out a tranny. I will have the car for a few more weeks.

Are we still doing the run that we mentioned last meet

i dont know the market all too well right now... but id say between 4-5k is a good starting point.... and work your way down.....always start high, then slowly lower it.... but since your car is so damn rare, you should be able to get good money for it
