HA HA ..... yeah, thats my old window. back when it was glass.
thats so funny. did I give that to you, or did Jesse?
as a street car, a couple years. it was a POS that was sitting in a field for several years. I made it to what you see when I said it was a street car. it was really nothing special, just what I could do with the limited money I had.... really, it had almost nothing done to it to make it faster. still it took a lot of work to get it like it was. also keep in mind that in 1999 2000 2001 the parts made and available for a second gen were NOTHING compared to what you could get now. and what parts you could get were VERY expensive. it is truly amazing how the parts available has grown in just a few years. Jesse knows what I am talking about.
then I decided I wanted to turn it into a race car. Jesse, my now wife, a few friends and myself put many countless days into making it a decent drag car. to make a very long story short, I put a ton of money and a ton of time into it, and never got it to run right. it had a major problem with lack of power. in hind sight I now think I should have looked at the fuel system a little more (as if I didnt already look enough there).
the engine was a big bridge with 3mm seals, racing beat intake manifold and a holly carb. Racing beat solid hub 4 puck clutch... oh screw it, the laundry list of parts is huge. lets just say it was gutted and built. weighing in at 2232 pounds and what should have been close to 300 h.p. (supposedly), I would guess it would run somewhere in the 12’s…… never got a chance to give it a go.
I then got the RX-8 and was having so much fun racing that, I kinda just gave up on the 7. there is a WHOLE lot more to it then that, but thats the gist of it.

also (Jason) you can now get your 2009 CSCC points card (if your intrested). go to solo2.com and look at the top, you will see where it says 2009 is now available. if you plan on running often this will give you a real number (not a 600 number). if you stick with one class, it will give you year end points in that class as well. (though you should not be to worried about that yet).
anyways, just wanted to let you know.

Oh i gotcha lol, thanks man.
But hey, i gotta question for you: Do you know a guy named Brandon? An old roomate? I was out washing/ waxing my car and some guy pulls up and asks me if I'm going to seven stock and if I wanna buy some TII wheels + tires, then as hes looking at my car he sees my Pirate City Tattoo stickers and asks about you guys, crazy huh? Anyway, i'll probably go pick them up tomorrow.
Pictures of the cleanest my car has ever been:

Ran into the film crew making the next installment of NightRider yesterday at Morongo Casino. Here's a few snaps I caught in the back of the lot. Still think it's a shame they used a Mustang.

Matt your 7 is looking beautiful!
Oh, wow, ok. Its too bad you never got to make a 1/4 mile pass with it.
Great, thanks. I've got $30 off my membership for next year too, haha! I'll let my dad know as well.

Casey no more rotaries for you? What kind of times were you getting in your RX-7? Hey Jason when you took the catback off did your car still make power? I remember I had a 83 and I lost the rear muffler and I had no horsepower.

Yeah, but I'm wondering if my 5th and 6th ports opened at a different time due to the pressure. The car didn't really feel like it had that much more power, if any, but its hard to tell. I couldn't tell when my ports opened because it was so loud. I'm doing it again tonight, I'll put the catback back on tomorrow.

15.02 wa the best I got when it was still a street car (with some weight removed). once I turned it into a drag car I never got to make a real pass. (the reason I say real pass is because I did get to make a pass, but it ran somrthing like 22 seconds..... like I said, there was a MAJOR problem.)
