ooook, i didn't read all of that, but personally I think a miata is going to make you happy right-off-the-bat and you'll have nowhere to go but up. My buddy had one and as stupid as i looked while driving it i had to admit, it was too much fun (even completely stock).
Seems to me like the MR2 would be more time and effort (and money) to get the same results, it just looks like an old, sloppy, worn-out, under powered car.
If you can get past the "chick's car" mentality, the miata is a hands-down winner.
But enough of that. I'm excited about tomorrow!

I agree with Mazpower, both cars are underpowered, but they are ment to be fun little peppy cars. (no I didnt say pReppy, I said peppy) and that they are.
same thing again, I think its really up to personal preferance and what your goals are for the car. no one can make that decission for you.... but we can sure try.
pics are posted on the 8 forum, though there are not to many.
I will post my pics and videos when I get back home. I am out of town untill Saturday.

Des anybody have pics of Jessie's motor? I would like to see it. Well the motor is in, and running. Come to found out that the T-78 turbo is leaking oil the exhaust turbine!!! I just had the whole turbo completely rebuilt!! I was s bummed out that it leaks!! I called, and they acted stupid to why its leaking out the turbine wheel into the exhaust housing. Casey if you remember that it has done this before...the smoking at the turbo when I was at your house looking at your old race car. Well we will see what happens with this.....so until the turbo comes back from Majestic turbo in Texas, no driving!!
Man you just cant cut a break can you???
sheesh.
you know what sucks, is that you do everything right. not many people really truly do things the right way. but you do.
You do the big H.P. mods, but you understand that high H.P. number create incredable stress on the engine. so you pay the extra and do the reliability mods as well. not only do you do them, but you pay professionals to do them right.... and you still cant cut a break.
You have had some of the best, highest quality engeines in your car, and they just dont seem to last.
What happened to you on that one motor...... was it a OLD corner seal (I think thats what you said) that was left over from the last engine, and went through the new motor?
then you sent that motor and had it rebuilt again by Pinnaple right? spent a pretty penny, got the housings all coated in that really trick coating... etc.... and didnt that one let go as well?
... man, anyways, I hope they own up to it and fix it ffor you. I also hope your troubles are over. you sure do have a sexy car! one of the nicest around. its nice to see someone that does high end mods the right way. I look forward to seeing it (and you) again. its been way to long.

Thx Casey! Its been a fun time messing with a rotary, as we ALL know it is. LOL!!! I'm thinking that I will take a road trip to Northern cal, to have Steve tune. Since who knows when the next tune session will be for so cal???? I'm looking forward to learning more to the tuning thing. I really like tuning my own car....but I would like to learn some more from the pro.

learning from the pro is always a good thing! Your a smart cookie, I am sure with a tune session with him you will pick it up and be able to do it your self.
