180 to get the letters/numbers out then 220 to clean up any big scratches i use soapy water the soap breaks the water tention so you get a nice smoth wet surface. Then 600 then 1200 fallowed by a heavy 3m polish and wax.
I guess that would work i didn't use any clear coat it's plastic as long as you get a good polish it should come out nice.

This build thread is on track to set a new record for least content per post. We're almost 200 posts in and we have:
-pics of shell
-pics of exhaust and steering wheel installed
-pics of some cleaning
-info on how to sand plastic...
-about a 150 posts discussing who's the most gay...
How's about some content on the actual plan so folks can offer legit feedback? I know Jaime still needs to figure out his v-mount/cooling setup, battery relocation, do a bunch of prep work for paint, get all his fuel goodies installed etc...
I still think it'd be a good idea to finish your fab work, get the car running, THEN tear it down (once you know how it all fits) and go in for paint. That way you do one top to bottom install so you don't discover you have to drill holes in fresh paint. It also means you don't have to be figuring out crap like which hoses you're missing while doing it.
