Thumbs up Shipping Question for DHL

Has anyone here on the west coast section ever had the prevliage of using DHL to send out motors and transmissions. How does it work, and what do I do. Any help would be great thanks guys

You pray to god it gets there in 1 piece. I have heard quite a bit of bad things about their shipping quality. Also i've seen the lot that they park their vans in, most of them are heavily dented and abused looking

Well, I haven't shipped anything thru them but have received packages. I could only tell you that they have the worst customer service. On one incident, they left my package outside of the gate of my apartment complex and it got stolen. Try calling their customer service line, very rude agents.

Okay good to know. so who do i go with if I want to ship motors and transmissions what is the procedure for shipping this stuff through fedex or ups

yup they cracked my smp carbon hood 4 years back but wouldnt never happen if they didnt trash the ****

Okay so we know that DHL sucks by all means but here is the real question if I decide to go with them will the product get to it's destination? What do you guys recommend i do?

yup just make sure u get insurance with the shipping just in case and let say a motor get damaged , the price of it was 1300 now u get 90 percent of that back plus ur old one

i shipped a car door thu DHL it was fine for me. had tracking and everything, got there when they said it will too. the buyer had no complaines so i guess its your luck.

Okay this was a distaster!!! I still have not used DHL but one of my customers from Ebay wanted to use next day air through fedex. bad choice. in total to ship two housings, and two rotors to New Jersey costed him 280.49 in total for next day air. I was like wow!!!

YEAH he still paid it!!! Thats insane huh? The dude said he needed the parts today at his door step b4 the 10th so he guy could build his motor b4 he left. I don't know I did my deed and went out of the way for him. I got paid either way. But im a good a guy i just want to find the cheapest way to ship stuff for my customers. DHL are there prices pretty good in shipping tranny's?

I have had the same EXACT thing happen to me as well.

How about shipping through UPS there a little maybe even a lot more inexpensive?
