What's up with that Bernie? That language kind of puts me in a bind. Given the upgrades under work I can't guarantee it'll be done without being further in the project. You know trivial stuff like new cooling, new fuel system, Ford rear end, new motor mounting, new exhaust, new engine, and a little body work...

On the other hand, I don't want it to sell out on me either. Are you going to be giving heads up as it starts to fill?
If you car is not done you can have your choice from your fleet at Avis

I will be there in my RX7 (hopefully).

Frijolee, that is what we had to agree to get the special deal for the event and to get it all Mazda. Just like the HOTEL deal... If you're not sure, don't sign-up. What can we do? The track, insurance, all other cost are paid for... who gets stuck holding the bill if you don't get your RX done, and we don't have time to fill your spot? This thing is a compromise for everyone. This is why we hesitated to do SS at the track for so long!!

And yes, I will be posting regular updates to let everyone know where we're at with track sign-ups.

So far, as of today... 50% overall reserved, and RX signed up:

5 - FC
9 - FD
4 - RX-8

Looks like I better really bust *** and get this thing done. I'm gonna be Mr. sad pants if I don't get to run. Hanging in the booth is fun too but I want to get out there.

Johnson, what'd you find about ride alongs?

Apparently the track host prohibits ride-alongs, unlike Speedventures or Redline. I'm assuming the reason is cost reduction and liability.

Really? Strange...I emailed them about our event this weekend and they busted the 'liability' issue crap which is the reason why no ride 'alongs'.

Old Man, Willow Springs has a restaurant on the premises, so they will NOT allow outside food vendors.

The good news? Everyone is allowed and encouraged to BBQ at SevenStock this year! I will be inspecting grills this year!

extremespeed was allowing ride alongs this past weekend for a fee and a waiver after initially saying the weren't going to do so in the morning.

No roach coach, but the Willow Springs Commisary/Cafeteria will be open for all to eat. We also encourage people to bring there own food and drinks... BBQ is very welcomed this year.

We are trying to work on a few other options... but no guarantees, not track policy.

Thanks bro! I'll be there no matter what. I hope spots will open for non-rx cars. So far, 49 out of 130 have confirmed and signed up according to extremespeeds' site. However, 9/29 is about 2 months away. We will see.
