Just don't spend too much time playing at the auto-x this weekend that you don't get those intakes on. Only 2 more weekends to work on it before the drive.!!!

Pine Valley Days are going on this weekend. (In the Pine Valley area)

We may have to do a little rerouting around the area fo rthe morning. There will be a parade in the area from about 9:00am until about 11:30am. So expect it to be crowded. Even lunch for us, about 2:00pm or 2:30pm, will have a lot of people.

I could not make a specific reservation at Major's Diner, at leaast not for a group seating, so we may have to break up even if they do have room to handle us.

See you tomorrow,
John

Thanks for the fun drive, John, as usual. It was a nice bunch of folks and some nice roads.

That yellow FD leading us all was kinda fast... ya almost lost us!

D'oh!

My first time out front, I was worried I'd be holding everyone up...

There are some pretty fun roads out there, I'm usually out there at least one weekend a month for a relaxing cruise through the backroads. A fun drive, even if we did have a couple of navigational challenges :-)

Cheers,
Simon

No you did a fine job! I like fast... but I'm a little crazy... as are most RX7 owners.

I missed it. Was that 1952 Mazda 3-wheel truck still out there?

For the pics I took, I will be picking them up tonight. Sorry, I still use a "film" camera. Will post something to the site by Sunday evening.

Simon did a great job out front! Even when I "encouraged" him to not wait, he wanted to let the rest of you catch up. I don't believe anyone got lost, did they? 'cept for the ones leading the run.
... but that was only once.

This was my first time riding in a 3rd gen. Great fun on the "speed" sections of the run. Turns, too. Only problem, though, makes ya want one!

Mel, as John M. said, there are now 2 of the 3-wheeled vehicles there. Looks like the older one is much better as it has "Mazda" stamped into the right font panel. We've got a couple of pics of it.

For anyone else on the run, if you took pictures, please send them my way so I can post.

Looks like the GTU is "fixed." Might have only been spark plugs. But I am not sure if I accept that just yet. Sounds too easy; but, thorough investigation could find nothing else. My other problem, though, is a partially cracked joint on the split air stub coming off the cat. Will be dealing with that soon. Hope it can be fixed vice requiring a new cat.

Regarding the next drive, I will be back looking at the Simpson Auto Barn for the fall. If anyone has suggestions, drop them my way.

Also, you can get another driving fix in at the upcoming karting event for the September meeting. Check the club site for details soon.

Later,
John

Here are a few pics from the July 30th run. The site will get integrated with the rest of the pics soon.

I still need any of you who were on the run to send me your pics so I can post.
