isnt a group tune made up because steve kan is only here for a short time. sometimes during a goup tune he runs out of time and cant spend an in depth time tuning cars.
this guy has a shop and was posted that he will spend a day tuning your car.
why set up a group tune where he is forced to pump out x-amount of cars in a given time?
just my opinion but i would skip the group tune and have him spend a whole day focusing on one car.
why not schedule a group dyno run... just strap and go and have a small meet/greet/eat.

Yes, this is why XS wouldn't do a group tune but in all fairness to Steve your car is supposed to be ready and you prepared beforehand and that's how it is possible. So unfortunately, there can be someone that has to drop out, get bumped to last place, etc.
I wasn't looking for a quicky tune when I requested from XS-Engineering nor from this shop but only for a club discount for multiple comited customers. There can be one every saturday and only one a week but giving a club discount. Maybe no strap fee, free pizza and t-shirt, whatever.

I really want to here any experiences from people who have tuned their cars with this new guy. i need a tune, but as posted above, steve kan is barely around and now with the rep he has, he dosent spend as much time anymore on tuning as he used to from wat i hear. If this man has real experience and proof of it with the people he tuned there cars, ID LOVE to go visit him for a tune.

Well, if anyone needs a Power FC tuned on an FD see the guy in my signature. PM me and I'll give you his contact info. He street tuned my nonsequential stock turbo FD (see mods in my vbgarage) to 12 psi. I've been beating the living **** out of my car for the last 6 months (logged about 5k miles now) about four times a week Car runs just like it was intended to from Mazda's FD engineers. I haven't had the car on a dyno yet, but I know it's fast. If anyone wants proof of how my car runs, I'll be more than happy to take you for a ride (zip code 92354). You buy lunch though
I've seen a few of Steve's Power FC tuned single turbo FDs too, haven't ridden in them, but the owners seem happy as hell with how their cars ran.
Steve has his own laptop & wideband setup. If you decide to call him up for a tune, make sure to tell him THE TRUTH about your setup (mods, if anything isn't working right, etc.). As we all know, it's a waste of your and the tuner's time if you car doesn't work right when you go for a tune!
I'd like to check out Yoshiya's shop to meet the guy and see his car!

As much as I like Yoshiya, I've never had my car tuned by him (got rid of the FD before he opened up his shop -- never had a decent ecu on it either). I can tell you that he's an honest guy, and you don't have to worry about how he'll treat you. He definitely knows his junk. Just give him a call or visit his shop to get a feel for how you guys click. I'm sure he'll make you feel pretty confident with him. Seems other forum members are pretty happy with his work. I can't imagine that anyone would be unhappy with his personality. He really is one of the nicest guys you'll meet.

I def will stop by. Im hearing good things about him. Now im confused to either wait for steve Kan, or get it tuned by a local tuner. Who do you guys recomend, Obviously steve has more rep, but with the time, convinience of the local tuners what do you guys think, where should i get my FD with PFC tuned at?

as sam mentioned, Yoshiya at neptune has done the swap for my gtu to a jspec TII. all the work he does is top notch and being that he is very knowledgable in the rotary market and meticulous, it was just the icing on the cake for me in terms of customer satisfaction.
anyone i speak to in regards to tuning and general repair i have no hesitation referring them to Yoshiya.
On top of his A+ work he has a great attitude and work ethic. Customer satisfaction from his work to attitude to overall experience has made me into a lifelong customer.
