Rotary Shops In SF/Marin Area?

hey everyone!
i may be moving to the san francisco/marin county area sometime soon(next 1-2 years). i love the area, and i have family there, etc. but a big part of my decision is my car! i need to know about the norcal rotary scene, and if anyone knows any really good rotary shops(ill be coming from mazdatrix)please let me know!
thanks so much for your help!!

In the Marin County area (I live here now.) theres only a couple shops and even they don't know as much as I would like them to.. To consider them a 'rotary shop' I personally have been doing everything myself to the car. I hear good things about Ricks Rotary (http://www.ricksrotary.com/) They are fairly close... Theres also another place I know of in Sacramento I would trust my car with... That one is not very close though...

Unfortunately im not of very much help as I have done most anything myself. (rebuild/motor swaps/tranny swaps/massive electrical repair on friends cars/my cars) I would offer my services but for major stuff I would definately recommend taking it to Ricks. If you need smaller things done... Setting/replacing TPS/ fixing that pesky clock from fading out brakes, clutch slaves, most anything electrical. Motor, tranny and diff mounts.. etc (just ask if you have questions.. I can't think of what I havent played with or fixed at one point on these cars now...) I would be more then happy to explain to you how to do it, or show you if its a slow day. But I am just a rotorhead and not a 'professional', but my 7's are quite happy. These cars are nothing to be scared of when it comes to working on them yourself. It just takes alot of free time to pick it all up... In any case if you don't feel inclined to do do the work yourself then my best recommendation again would be Ricks Rotary. Nothing but good things I hear about them.

We have a decent amount of Bay Area Rotary meets.... ( A small board related to the meets http://barotary.com/bbs/ for more info or pm me..) Its not a huge group but usually have a good time none the less...We all pretty much know one another by name so again its not that huge..

Its definately worth moving out here, I love the area... The drivers out here could learn a lesson or two but the roads and sunny beaches make up for it....

im pretty excited about the bay area rotary club, theres nothing like that down here. id love to hook up with more rotary people, go to meets, etc. plus, marin has some nice twisies
thanks for all the info guys, ill probably be up there sometime later this summer, checking things out and such, so ill have time to look at the shops and maybe meet some other rotary fans!!

Too bad the www.socalrxclub.org doesn't do much. We'd love to have you out to our events. Good luck in the Bay area

next time the socal club does something, let me know!! its not for sure that im moving to the bay area yet...but i do want to get a feel for the area(rotary wise)before i make my decision. ill probably order parts from mazdatrix and do the work myself, but it would be really nice to have a shop to play around in, like i do now. i mean, where else are you going to find lapping tables and rotary specific tools? plus id like to live somewhere where there are other rotorheads...and other rotary cars to play with on those nice roads...

We just had a dyno day at RR&R in Santa Ana this past weekend. We also have this little bbq called Sevenstock That'll happen October 8th this year. There's a few Rotary owners that show up.
Take a look at the calendar and join our mailing list. We'd love to have you!
