Rotary power is under rated...

What's the case? That car LS1 FC will handle your *** in ANY type of event?? I think THAT would be my case if I were to ever compare that LS1 FC to your FC.
That's my good friends car, and for you to even try to disrespect it, is beyond me. So, before you try to diss it in any way because it has an "LS1" in it, you BETTER bring something better in all around events to the table.
It does it all - road racing, auto cross and 1/8th and 1/4 mile drags.
That's a video of its 9.9 at 134 MPH pass with 1.4 60'..

It's BAR'd, meaning it passes smog LEGALLY, daily driven to and from the track (320 mile round trip).
Keep to your JDM plates because that shiet be da mad tyte brah yadayeee??

and here goes the flaming
that was my peacefull response to brismo's post about rotary rx's being crappy looking and LS1 RX's looking better. granted there is some crapy pieces of **** rx's out there but theres also nice ones too. i like both and seen clean rx's of both kind. in this case the picture of the red rx i posted is aron's ls1 powered fc and it is extremely fast waaaay faster than my stock powered TII im not debating on which car can run a better 1/4 mile because we all know chevy built the LS1's mainly for the 0-60 mark and mazda designed the rotary to be placed in a sports car that was meant to be more of a handling car than a drag car. if i hurt you ls1 boy's feeling to bad but i have a point. so yeah my case those not fail. thank you

Aram's car: Bone stock body with decent 17 year old paint on his race tires and CF TII hood, stock/immaculate interior.. HMMMMMMMM....
Yep, you sure did doodly proved your gee-golly point!
And yes, the LSx series motors were meant for 0-60 MPH. Let me take my C6 Z51 Vette away from the Auto Crossing and road race events and attend more 1/4 mile racing events, because THAT IS where my car truly shines!

Right. Keep saying your pathetic attempt at an argument doesn't fail, maybe one day your dreams will come true! Not really.

Feel free to come to the V8 RX-7 forum meet in Tustin, Ca after sevenstock and chat with us. A lot of us V8 guys are going to be driving at a track day at Buttonwillow the next day as well, you should tag along.
#114
i know theres this guy on here that used to have a really nice white s4 with a V8 and the guy actually drove the **** out of it at the autox events i dont remember what his username was but i've seen a lot of action shots
#115
i wouldnt mind doing that at all, i been hoping to see one of these bad boys in action at an AutoX. i want to see how the rx7 platform handles with the extra weight,,,,so i've heard that the weight distribution is not affected by adding a V8 but i dont know if its just a rumor.

The FD/FC still retain 50-50 weight distribution after the LS1 swaps. It's not a rumor. I had a white S4 with an LS1 and a few action shots lurking around, but I never auto-x'd it.

heres a couple more pics of aron's.....excuse me....aram's car. if i thought this car was shitty i would not have these pictures. i think i finally cleared what i was attempting to say since the beggining
like it a lot but its just not for me

Nothing against joel but I found out that the ls1 does have issues under laterial g's. Heres the thread.http://www.v8rx7forum.com/v8-rx7-tec...tonwillow.html
Again I not trying to start an arguement but proving a point.
Thanks Robert

Will you be running at buttonwillow? I'll more then likely be there in my FD. I'd like to have alittle fun and run in the same group. See how my bone stock FD does against your LS1 FD, if your done by then ofcourse.
#124
Bone stock FD? You must have sold your other FD, haha. It should be an interesting battle. We both will have about the same HP, same suspension, I weigh a bit more (PS, AC, aftermarket sound deadening), but I'll probably have wider tires, so it'll definitely be a fun match-up .
