Thumbs up

I got burned bad too, I had some bullfrog but forgot to use it.....

Hardhitter - I dont know why we were going slow, although I did see the guy with the LS-1 FC pull-off early, I went to the back to see if he was doing alright, and he was there but laggin a bit behind......

My question is where did everyone tear-off too at a lil before 4? We all got there at 2 and then about half of the meet all took off at the same time right before 4, did you :

A) hear the cops were coming and ran for your modified lives....

B) had a little 'invite only' party for guys that knew each other.....

C) Just couldnt waste anymore time at the RX event when the gay pride parade was going on just minutes away....

D) I heard there was a lil photo-shooting down the road, but I cant imagine half the meet was going there - what happened, or am I not part of the 'insiders' who left lol!

It just seemed a little early to leave after coming so far, and didnt seem like a coincidence that half of the meet left at the same time, just curious....

Anyway, I had a great time meeting ya all, ( I was the guy in the Hawaiian shirt in the red FD with the sweet AME's ala AutoRnD I wasnt sure what to expect since it was my first meet, but EVERYONE that I spoke to was Very cool, makes me want to do it again soon, Kudos to all of ya!!!

Yeah I thought I didn't latch my stupid hood all the way down and stopped real quickly to check it before it flew up on me on the freeway. Thanks for pulling back to check on me though.

I think I was at the back of the caravan the rest of the way.

This was my rotary even devirginization and it ruled. The beater FD survived. I got a sweet tan on half of one arm and I saw a bunch of cool cars.

MrVonWolfi you sold me on the AME wheels.

I saw Rishie's car before with his Spec-R's but then after seeing it on the FD, you had me sold on them. I'll probably get the BBF finish in 18x9 and 18x10's

What kind of suspension you have? Did you pickup the stance coilovers from AutoRnD too? I took a look and it looked like you had coilovers and the color (black and gold from what I could see) was what the Stance's look like. I ordered a set about 5-6 weeks ago, we are just waiting on the different springs (10/10 rate) and then I'm bringing it in for install.

P.S. Yeah I found it strange that half the meet left at the same time. I just saw the LS1 7's drive off and then for some reason everyone was following them off. I left because I had seen all the cars and the gf was getting bored lol.

Rishie made fun of me for leaving so early, yet when I pulled over to take pictures with my gf on TI, guess who I saw leaving... Rishie and I asked him why he's leaving and he gave me the excuse that he was going to find a "photo spot" haha just messing with you Rishie

Heya Hardhitter, your car was sweet, and everyone else seemed to think so too!! (we need some good pics of it posted on the r-fest gallery, I didnt see any good pics of it - someone post what they got!) the R-1 airdam painted looks really sweet in that blue!! - not to mention all the other sweet details of your ride

I love the wheels too, theyre the same ones that were on Dana's silver FD - 10 1/2 9 1/2. The BBf will look SWEET on your ride!!

I did get the Stance coilovers from Rishie too, I think they are the rate that you are looking at, (I was talking with him about getting them before the group buy went live) And so far I REALLY love them, the spring rates and shocks make the ride absorb bumps perfectly - the suspension and wheels absorb the shock of bumps, not the chassis - and the cornering is phenominal - no roll, but has a little give, and sticks like a ****** - It now rides like a Caddie and corners like a lotus!! I doubt that you will not absolutely love them....

That was a great time out as I mentioned earlier, everyone I met was very cool, thanxz to everyone who made this happen!!!

Yeh, Dana was trying to sell me his wheels too, but I couldn't afford them at the time and I wasn't quite sure if I wanted them yet.

So you have 18x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears? Damn, how wide were the tires? Rishie was tempting me telling me that he has them in stock in the BBF finish at the shop. Too bad I'm a poor college student or I would have them on in a heartbeat lol.

Do you know if you could drop your car a little lower to eliminate wheel gap? I think it would look best if it was eliminated but I don't know if you'd rub if you did. Let me know.

For sure, I'd love to get together for a photoshoot if you'd like. We are both local so wouldn't be a problem. And thanks for the compliments on my ride, loved yours as well!

Hope all of you enjoyed the meet as much as I did, it was great meeting you all.

Yeah it can defenitely be dropped, specially in front, I wouldnt wanna go much lower in back, tire size 275 35 in back, I think you could slam it alot lower if It was 255 or 65 maybe. 255 35 up front, theres plenty of room upfront for slamming it down, currently I have it set with no rake - even front and back for nice handlin, but theres plenty of room for slammin in it in front, which I will probably play with,

I agree it looks alot better, but the ride is pretty spectacular at this height, and I drive a real bad stretch on 101 daily, so its been set this way for easy drivin - I'll letcha know after I play with the perches a bit

i'm sure we will have booths and vendors setup next time, this one was only planned about 1.5 months in advance so it was on a semi short notice. i know i couldn't have dreamed of setting up a booth with my schedule, hell i still haven't even had time to find someone to do advertising/graphics design(not that i even need it, heh).

Aside from a slight unexpected detour through SF on the way back (the 101 sign pointed BOTH ways!) It was a great event. I wish my FC could have made it, but tonedeaftony made a dvd of our Fort Bragg To RotorFest and back, and there was some nice twisty action on the way to and back. It was great to put some faces with names, and while I didn't get to meet everyone I wanted, Those of you I did meet were Awesome!

Extra Thx to BoostedRex and everyone who helped for putting on a fantastic event.

Thanks everyone for coming out and supporting us. This will be an annual event. I just found that with relatively no history it was very difficult to get real sponsorship for the meet. However, after the turnout we had it will be a given. Next year will be bigger and better!! And the final count was 112 cars in case anyone was curious.

A special thanks to the NorCal 7 people that helped keep everything running smooth during the meet. The Craig, Evan, and Preston for cooking. Jon and Glenn for taking money/giving out wrist bands. Berry for passing out name tags. And everyone else who pitched in to help. This wouldn't have happened without you guys!!

Also, thanks to the shops who did show up. Chris Green from Wolf USA was a GREAT source of knowledge for people at Rotary Fest. You guys need to make sure to check him out when you need a stand alone EMS or a great ASE turbo kit!! Rishie, your cars are incredible and everyone who showed up with you was really cool. Mazdamark.com was also out there offering some CRAZY deals on HID's and other goodies! And lastly I wanted to thank Ryan Scott for coming out and taking pictures for RX Tuner.

Oh yeah, you're still my favorite bitch Wacky!!

Zach

Heya Hardhitter, PS, if your fenders are rolled , you could probably go with the same size as I'm running, and slamm the rear quite a bit, currently however, my fenders are 'dainty lil virgins' lol, I had it set a little higher also cuz I was bringin my big lug of a brother with me, and didnt know what to expect road wise.........

As for a photo shoot some time - Sure thing!! just post or pm me some time, I'm on call July 4th weekend, so that wouldnt be good, but otherwise hellyeah!!
