Props to socalrotor and his g/f? for bringing out all supplies and doing a kickass job with the cars. Also a big thanks to: riceburner1r2001 and the few people who were washing cars nonstop, Sideways Star for being a great chef, my brother Turbo2FC3S for providing shirts & decals, the Lucky7 crew for putting this together and everyone who showed up and gave donations.
I took a few pictures of the event and the cars but I wont be able to upload them until later in the afternoon. I'm typing this from my 2nd job where I work the graveyard shift The chicken, movie and beer were a great way to end the long day. I can't wait for the next BBQ!

Carwash was great!! Dave was with us, he held back the rain, while we got the cars clean and shiny, full bellies, and to take time to swap decals, t-shirts and memories...priceless! We washed about 20 cars, and ate 10 lbs+ of BBQ. Good times for all, and i think everyone left feeling like they had done something good.
Many thanks to Steven (SoCalRotor - yes, i am his gf) for all the supplies and thanks to him and everyone who helped with the car washing - tire scrubbing efforts. I cant believe how fast we washed that suburban!
It was very nice to get to chill with Suzy and Joe, many thanks to them for coming out and putting things in perspective. It is not easy to deal with such a loss, and thier strength as a family and sincere genuineness was obvious.
Hope we can all get to meet up again, (or meet) at the next SoCalRotor BBQ - to be at the beach, somewhere around Dave's birthday 6/22.
Looking back at the last few weeks, this seems fitting of Dave and everyone who he touched: "The influence of each human being on others in his life is a kind of immortality." (John Quincy Adams)
