Rick's Rotary
Had some work done there today and I must say that I'm pleased with his work. I agree with him when he says "I try to treat the cars like it were my own." His prices are expensive but worth it. Just a heads up.

Yeah, a bit pricey...but does good work. Havent had any bad experiences with him to date. He hates my car because the cage...says its too hard to move around in there if it has to do with wiring and stuff.
Ive had a couple things done there and it wasnt cheap, but very satisfied with the work done.

yea im a good customer there... i have to say that rick's is one of the best and the originals... i prolly spent over 5 grand of major work done at his shop... very friendly and always honest... he's been in business for about 15 years if i can remember him saying... plus, he even gives me $40 off gift cards... haha...
he may be pricey, but you get what you pay for, which is top quality work!!

UPDATE:
Today I was about to schedule and appointment to have Rick install an aftermarket turbo to get tuned by Steve K. in Feb. Looks like the Buruea of Automative visited him and scared the heck out of him.
Looks like theyre cracking down on the shops that install performance parts and made it clear to him if he was found installing anything non carb legal, then his license would be revoked. He said they would be paying a lot of shops the same type of visit throughout Cali.
Anyhow, he had to decline my Turbo install and I will need to search again to have my work done. He said if youre car is modified already and he is not installing, he will definitely continue to service it. Anything else would need to be CARB legal and he would have to document it.
Anyhow, thought Id let everyone know...I called today and we spoke for a good 30 minutes or so and he made it clear he will no longer do installs for aftermarket parts that are not carb legal...
What a loss...at least maintenance is still available.

time to move my shop to nevada i guess, lol.
that or performance shops will just do their mods underground and you will not be getting any paperwork for upgrades and the state will lose out on that revenue in the form of taxes, yet again WAY TO GO CALI! dumbass legislators.. who are they to say upgrades aren't for track purposes, they can't prove any of the modifications are being done for street use.. where are legitimate track duty cars supposed to have work done at now?

Track cars he was told are ok..as long as its track only and not a registered daily driver. How the hell can you hide that though.....tow it in everytime you want stuff done.
This is horrible...like karack said...underground with no paperwork is the only way. Since they say they'll audit, cant have any paper trails...
Who knows, cash only installs...shops keeps a separate file for modified parts installed??? Who knows...there are ways around it, it just depends who wants to take the risks.
