registering single turbo FD at PASADENA DMV

Anyone had experience with the Pasadena DMV? My friend registered his and said all they look at the DMV is the VIN in the enginebay, dash, and door jam and dont even look at the engine and stuff.

My choices were Glendale DMV (yea right), Pasadena DMV (1st choice), and Arleta DMV (too far away, 2nd choice)

I have to give the DMV the papers so i can go get it smogged, then come back to get my plates.

Just wanted to know if Pasadena DMV people care at all about engine mods or anything I should look out for?

Thanks

Seriously? AAA does that?

See the thing is... i have to give my papers to the DMV for me to get a smog check then with the smog paper i go back to the DMV and they register it and give me plates.

Can anyone run me through the AAA process... for a out of state non resident vehicle? AAA has to be a liscenced verifier... and i dont know if theyl let me off that easily

also.. i checked their website and its registration renewal... not sure about non resident registration.... although thatl be awsome, theres a AAA 2 minutes away from me.

wawanesa.... as far as price probly not! depends if you have a home/auto package

i can tell you one thing though, AAA wont drop you for a speeding ticket like or accident like wawanesa has.

and AAA claims handling is by far better!

google them if you want! every company will have bad reviews but the type of review is important, from just costumer service to lawsuits!

give me a call it'll take 10min. and you could possible save some money if not up front def in the long run!

Yep. Mercury beat Wawanesa's insurance rate, at least for me being the good driver that I am

I thought Wawanesa was the lowest out there, but Mercury was able to cut the rates even lower. This was based on liability only insurance.

I know... but in order for the smog station to let me smog my car, I have to give my regisration papers and stuff to the DMV and inspect it.... then I have to smog my car, THEN i get actual regisration/plates
