Refinery exploded in Contra Costa county!
Contra Costa County officials have warned people in the area of the Martinez Tesoro Refinery to stay indoors after a burn-off sent visible plumes of black smoke into the sky. They are saying for the residents to tape close there doors and windows.

Isn't it funny that refineries always seem to explode more when oil prices are high but gas prices are low?
Oil @ ~$90/bbl now, but gas is around $3 due to low demand. Time to blow up some sourcing!

tape closed windows? um, you breathe the crap all day every day anyways, especially if you own a rotary...
and yes, i'm quite sure that these are inside jobs as they always seem to happen when fuel prices are dropping that it's getting a bit obvious. those plants have tons of safety measures but they always seem to be breaking, imagine if they were nuclear power facilities, the whole US would be uninhabitable.
