I know there are better performing graphics cards out there, but for what im trying to do, a lot of ppl have been successful with this model.
yes your right lol I hate how loud my computer is now. When gaming the cpu turns the fans to max rpm, and I have to turn up the volume haha I want this thing as quiet as possible, which is why I went with a fanless gpu a quiet 750 watt Antec psu, Corsair H50 cpu cooler, and after countless hours of research and non-biased reviews, decided to go with 3 Noise Blocker quiet/highflow low rpm case fans, which ended up costing me more the my case itself LOL
This video card should perform nicely for what im trying to do with it, which is play the PCSX2 (PS2) and Dolphin (Gamecube/Wii) emulator at full speed in 1080p HD. Plus that card I got it in used/like new condition for $93 on ebay I will need to overclock the cpu to 4 ghz to actually make this happen, but for now I just need to get everything working and running, im thinking of starting a thread in the lounge lol

The way I see it is... my goal for all of this is to be able to play ps2 and gamecube/wii maby psp emulators on my computer at full speed, and hopefully at a better resolution and graphics then the original systems themselves. I dont care about being up to date, because like you said, parts get outdated fast.
In my opinion, we will never see any more emulators again for gaming systems, because of the complexity of the new ps3 and xbox 360, I dont believe there will ever be emulators for those, its just impossible. I think ps2 and original xbox emulators are as far as we will ever get, so ill be happy if I can at least play those games, and I will buy a real PS3 or xbox 360 if I wanna play newer games lol

^ I think it is weird you got a fanless GPU for noise reduction... When I seriously can't sleep without the noise from my Antec 900's fifty thousand blue LED fans running at full speed.
Anyways I can't say I agree with your choise of getting a 9800gt.. mainly because supporting Nvidia is like supporting Hitler or VWs. NOT COOL

wats wrong with volkswagens?? lol Noise reduction is one thing, but to be honest, the main reason why I went fanless on the gpu, is that nVidia makes horrible quality heatsink fans for them. First experience, is I bought a used nVidia 8400gs gpu on ebay, and when I first turned on the computer, a LOUD rattling noise wtf??? The gpu worked great, but that annoying rattling noise from the fan was uinbearable and was really pissing me off. Sure enough after a few weeks, the fan failed and stopped spinning, eventually the card overheated.
S0o0o... I bought another brand new gpu heatsink fan exactly the same brand and thought id be fine now...NOT. maby 1 week later, the same damn noise happened again! Luckily that fan only costed me like 9 dollars shipped anyway lol Then I decided to get bold and install my old xbox fan on there to see if it would work, but the xbox does not use a heatsink fan, just a regular fan (I know im an idiot) and I fried the gpu.
I now have a nvidia 8400gs fanless heatsink in my current pc (which im gonna be taking apart in the next few weeks to swap parts) and so far ive had it in here for about 2-3 months, and ive abused the hell out of it and no problems. Besides the horrible quality heatsink fan, I think they are pretty solid. Just advise for anybody buying an nvidia gpu... replace the heatsink fan with an aftermarket, because the oem WILL fail soon, or just buy fanless and dont even hassle with the problem at all in the first place
Mike I can understand why you dont like nvidia gpu's lol

Those things were badass back in the day. I remember when I got my 9700 pro for christmas back in 02 or 03. I was soo happy my parents forked out 300 for it lol.
Nvidia to me is just like Intel.... big name company that over prices everything because they know they can. ATI and AMD were both companies that knew they could give you the same performance for a lower cost.
Remember Intel's huge Pentium 4 scam? Where they advertised "2ghz!! 3ghz!!! 4ghz!!! **** YEAH!!!! Buy our product you know you want to 3 GHZ!!!! YEAAAHH!!!!" Such a huge trick on consumers because your average consumer thinks bigger and more expensive must be better YET they didn't realize that the cpus had a bus speed of like 27mhz and just multiplied by a billion to get those clock speeds.. Making them useless when it comes to video games and stuff that most consumers use their PCs for. That's why AMD named their CPUs 2000+, 3200+ etc... to say "hey, yeah it is only 1.5ghz, and yeah it is 50 bucks cheaper, but this 2000+ will smoke any Pentium clocked at 2ghz for a third of the cost". Ever since then I have hated Intel with a passion.
Soon after that I got my first Redeon because I read some reviews that were pitting cheaper radeons against the more expensive nvidias and they were still neck in neck or close. I have been an AMD/ATI guy ever since... a good 8 years now have gone by and I have not looked back. As a matter of fact I will be purchasing a 6950 here pretty soon and firmware hacking it up to a 6970 because apparently all AMD did was configure the bios in the GPU to a different setting but they are identical cards.
That's another thing about AMD... want a 4core for the price of a 2core? No problem just unlock it! Want a $400 video card for the price of a $250 video card? No problem just unlock it!
Only thing about AMD... is their cooling capabilities suck. Their CPUs are just as prone to blowing up as Rotaries are... Boot it up without a fan and it will smoke within 5 seconds. I know, I've seen it lol. Thank God for the Frys fantastic return policy. "Uhmm I dunno it just don't work".. "Ok sir no problem here is your money back" haha.
End rant.
I still have my HD3870 lol that card was freakin epic... I was playing WoW on max settings with that card. Now I use it on my media PC out in the living room where we watch movies and videos.

oh i will but im still looking for a s4 tranny with lower miles then mine at least i dont wanna put it in then take apart again just to put a newer one in so fck it ill wait till i find one. Anyone selling a s4 tranny? that has no problems
