Well my smog date isn't due just yet.....

but I was wondering is it possible to pass smog with rb headers? I know I need a catalytic converter.

is it legal to have multiple cats? haha because I know im running rich like a ****....

 

almost all headers for the 7 are non CARB legal, so if the smog tech looks into it then no, you will fail the visual inspection. you can try to hide it with the original heat shields, paint or some wrapping however.

 

I got heat wrap all over....Hmm I do you think they would check? also would s4 headers would work on a s5? question....

 

the headers are the same, and if i were to guess, yes they would check because the smog ref's have been **** the past few years.

 

RACING BEAT streetable headers and bonez high flow cat will pass sniffer however fails visual.

go to a cheap smog station and get a coupon. youll end up paying cheap so they wont even bother to do full inspection, worked with me

 

I just passed smog with a bonez high flo cat with rb headers, i heard of people passing with the same setup only with true duals at the end, i dunno about visuals though

 

Jus look for some1 crooked and tip em extra *wink....

id say put the heatsheild back on and just hope for the best. when i got mine smogged he failed me cause i had a C.A.R.B. legal intake that he thought i was lying about it being legal-he didnt know sh*t!!

 

lawl haha heat shield FTW .......... man thats going to look ridiculous but hey its a try haha yeah Im getting my stuff together i found my stock intake box and my stock pipes but I cant find the headers...... so im stressing out one year in advance so I wont have to do everything at once later...

you should do a pre-test before the real deal. If you fail that then you can change/do whatever you need to do. I passed and I have a downpipe and only one catalytic converter. Oh and a Magnaflow muffler. The guy asked if I made any mods and I told him no. lol. He still went through with the test. Maybe he knew and just didn't care. Anyway...I recomend this place in the city, this guy works alone and it seems like they need more buisness or something so they don't really care.

I got some RB headers myself. I've been looking for someone to help me with the install. So if anyone needs a S4 N/A header, help me take em off and you can have them for free. Can't really afford to pay anyone labor T.T.

I passed with heat wrapped RB headers and a new Bonez hi flow cat.
I guess it just depends on how strict the guy is.

 

Usually, if there's a cat there, you're good. They mostly look at intakes, thinking they're illegal. The headers are too far down for them to really take a good look at them anyways.
