on another note: Newport Seafood is the BOMB DIGGITY!

Just go in, and order the House Special Lobster and some white rice. You can thank me later!! You can order other junk to go with it, but to me.. they're just fillers, all I need is the lobster.

They just moved to a new location just east of that current location on Las Tunas, they took over the old Marie Calendars. Decor is much nicer than the old place, but who really cares when the food is good!!

basically another restaurant like Ricky and Ronnie's.

i'd like to have a meet here.

http://www.melsdrive-in.com/

chili burger was quite epic... i made sure i ate every onion on it.

another cool thing was the fact that you can choose songs to play on the small jukebox by each table.

Man I used to love them burgers when I was younger. However, living near the original Tommy's, it got really played out for him. I can't even the smell of those burgers anymore. BUT! I can never get sick of IN N OUT.

ok this is the MY best of the best. located all over SOCAL.

Burgers: Cisco Burgers located in long beach. google it. they have kobe beef hamburgers. THE BEST BURGERS. way better than in and out. if u like burger with chili try tommy's burgers located on rampart and temple open 24 hours. fat burger

Mexican: King Taco and El Taurino. king taco is located on alvarado + pico( gotta try the red sauce). El Taurino is on olympic + hoover( same as King Taco). these two spots are owned by brothers. so same red sauce. Usually El Taurino is packed so if it looks packed go to King Taco right down the street.

Korean: Korean BBQ. try to hit up the spots in koreatown all you can eat. I'm Korean so i love my Korean BBQ. wilshire and wilton is all you can eat. 6th and kenmore, olympic and catalina right next to yoshinoya. like less than 20 dollars all you can eat.

Pho: vietnamese rice noodle soup. i live in LA and i drive all the way to anaheim once and while to eat this. the place is called Kim Loan in fullerton. google them it'll be there. this place is awesome. pho is way better here than anywhere i've ever had. 6 dollar plus tax is 7 dollar meal. i believe the place is on orangethorpe.

curry: curry is a indian food. which is sauce over rice. best curry place is in melrose avenue. a place called the star of india. they have lunch special 10 dollar all you can eat. curry is very delicious.

BBQ: ribs and stuff Phillips ribs located on crenshaw haven't tried them yet but i hear it's very good. meat just falls off the bone.

another spot i go to for taco's and burritos not exactly mexican food. but they specialize in taco's and burritos. tito's taco's in culver city. not to expensive cheap and good. hard shell taco's.burritos so big it'll explode on ya~.they give u chips and sauce with every order.

best seafood is in downtown LA a place called fisherman's market. only open on certain hours of the day. but the best seafood u can get in socal. bout 10-15 bucks a plate. usually there's a line there.

if u like chicken. there's a couple chicken spots u should check out. Dino's on pico. they have this sauce they put on the chicken it's to die for. bout 4-5 bucks a chicken plate. very good. comes with grilled chicken, fries, coleslaw, and torilla's. another spot is in more los felix side. called zankou chicken. whole chicken for 10 dollars. even tom leykis from the tom leykis show eats there.he get's the half chicken half beef kabob plate. which takes like 10 minutes. but i get the chicken it's rotteresie and it's not too bad.

then there's famous spots like roscoe's chicken and waffles u have to check out. get the fried chicken and waffle or the chicken, cheese and egg omlet( omlet is to die for).pink's hot dogs(always a line at pinks. sometimes stretching all over the parking lot). in and out burger( good burgers) try it animal style. ask for it wen u order. they even have animal style fries too.

if u like japanese noodles there is this place called orochon in downtown LA. supposedly it's the best ramen u can eat. it's 12 dollars. i haven't tried it just yet but i will soon.

well those are my best of the best list. if u also wanna find more food look up yelp.com they got it all. hope u enjoy.

Japanese:

-Shin Sen Gumi: Near the 405 and brookhurst, good hakata ramen, about 10 bucks a person. They also have a Yakitori bar next door which is good.

-Fukada: Near Research and Irvine Center drive in irvine, japanese cold soba/brown rice lunch combos. Usually 9-11 bucks a person for lunch or/dinner.

-Koryu: More tokyo style ramen, near Baker/Baer in Costa mesa. 10 bucks a person too.

-Tsuruhashi: Yakiniku Japanese BBQ: Grill style is Korean influenced: About 25-50 dollars a person including beer usually.

-Manpuku: Japanese BBQ, Grill style is more japanese style, but i still prefer Tsuruhashi more for taste and flavor. This place has more atmosphere. Same price as above.

-Oki Doki, 2 branches: One in Costa Mesa, one in Garden Grove. Same menus, but Garden grove has much less crowd. Yakitori/Izakaya style. Price is anywhere on how much you order.

-Ikko: Traditional sushi, great presentation, do not go here unless you are ready to spend 100 a person. Been here only 2 times. Every time is an experience of its own. In costa mesa off Baker and Bristol. On Baker near the ARCO gas station.

-MIMI Sushi: Brookhurst in Costa Mesa. About 40-50 a person. Good sushi alternative on a more modest budget. Very fresh and good quality eel.

-Mitsuwa market: in costa mesa, many great small places to eat at 5-9 dollars a person at the food court. near bristol and paular
there's also Shin Sen Gumi Ramen House by Jaime

btw, how can you forget Honda Ya & Kappo Honda?
