If you dont know your way around the mountain i suggest you have someone else host. No offense but berryessa has a lot of roads. Heres a link to where we met last time we had a meet

Well if someone else wants to lead the pack I am all for it, I know from previous meets of some locations were they have met up (Norcal 7 met at the Alamo Shopping center previously). This is the reason I ask for help from any of the locals to the area who are more familiar. Plus we can always decide on the day of were we specifically want to drive.

Well, I picked up an L24, 4 speed trans, fuel tank, Evap tank, and set of rims for free the other day. The car was stored for the past 16 years which I have now verified due to the clutch being basically glued to the flywheel and pressure plate when taking it off haha.
Going to rebuild the L24 pretty much stock other than some custom work and a few goodies to make it fun...Bigger cam, header, headwork, lightened flywheel, lightened and balanced rotating assembly and valvetrain, ARP bolts, rebuilt SU carbs, baffle the oil pan, polish the underside of the block and the valvetrain area, etc...
Just something simple yet fun to play with while I peice together my stroker build.
Shooting for 200 rear wheel horsepower and going with a 3.9 rear end should give it a good punch to put it in the low 14 second range at the track.

The stroker is a 280ZX block bored over 3mm with a deisel maxima crankshaft and alot of other special things to make it from 2.8 to a 3.1 liter engine. Which when it's complete will be a twin turbo triple 50mm DCOE Weber carb blowthrough setup in the 400-500 horsepower range...

[QUOTE=danamezjohn;9631406]this one is actually perfect, Pit stop so people can grab a bite and gas up. then we just drive down suisan valley road and follow it down for 25 miles or so.

QUOTE]

That looks like a great location to me as well, just gotta get me some new ball joints and see what I can get done on that L24...

Also Mutaku, not to thread jack you anymore than I already have haha...
Any thoughts on doing a meet for this month or early next month?

Just something simple as me and carlos are getting lonely out here ....

Someplace warm though of course, don't really feel like freezing to death in a parking lot anytime soon.

I would put up some suggestions on a place but nothing really comes to mind at the moment...Back to patching the passenger side floor pan of the Z now...

I'd be down to figure out a quick meet up spot for December. Probably won't be as big but who knows and I haven't seen you guys since Salmon falls! You know a place where we could set up in a garage or something and maybe do like a mini bbq kick back?

Hmm, i'll see if I can get an open bay at our shop reserved for us...

I won't know until a few days before the meet date if we can use a bay as our bays open/full schedule is on a daily basis from truck to truck. Sometimes it's a quickie in and out, sometimes it's a fullblown engine in frame and it's there for a few months...

Right now I can tell you that we have a free bay open for the next few days that we could use but it's probably to short notice for most people to try and take off this weekend.

Maybe make another post and see if there's anybody interested?

Oh, and someone will need to bring a BBQ if you wanna BBQ cause mine is built in ground at my house haha.
