Haven't driven one yet. Once I do I'll have driven each generation! lol. Thinking about my FD drive makes me want one of them too...

Oh well the FC is still a blast!

Tony,

It was great to have met you while you were stationed at Travis. I wish you and your wife the best and hope that you have a safe tour in Japan. I'm sure I'll be getting a hold of you for some parts that I'll be needing. Take care bro.

Not bad, haven't really worked on the FB in a while but the engine is ready to go as soon as I fab up the harness which looks like a pain in the *** but i'm sure it's not as bad as it looks. Considering I have a full FB harness and full FC harness it should be a piece of cake.

How's things going for you?

I've been tryin to get in touch with Ben for two wks and no luck. I never see him at the shop and left a note on his car last weekend. Little Nick hasn't seen or heard from him either. He hasn't been on the forum in two wks either.

I hope he's okay too plus he has my car in his shop. For health and biz reasons, I had the YC police run his name and he doesn't come up on their radar. I'm going to contact his apt mgr next week and see what they can tell me.

First I want to make sure he's okay then I need to get my car back. I hate the idea of getting the court's permission to have sheriffs assist with acquiring my car and parts.

So, if anyone has heard from Ben then please speak up!

Evan

Oh congrats on the new job! what are you doing now?

It's getting a 13B-EFI from an s4. Out of my wrecked 87'. Has about 75k miles on the motor and it ran about a year ago before i pulled the battery out of the car. It was a strong motor in the FC and was wicked quick for what it was. Hoping in the FB chassis it'll be even quicker.

Rob I PM'd you my number, I may be working on the car tomorrow after 9 or so in the morning. I could use an FC to look at for wiring purposes so hit me up.

Database/PHP stuff, still in training though. I found out I suck at SQL queries lol.

Nice, is that going to be for a daily driver? Going to do anything to it? Light weight flywheel, RB/corksport header, high flow cat, etc, or just keep it stock? Figure now'd at least be the best time to put in a light weight flywheel with the engine out and all.

Just so everyone knows Ben is alive. =P

I talked to him today, he was just real busy working on someones EMS I believe and turned off his phone for a while so he could work without interruption.

Evan, he said he will be giving you a call soon if he hasn't already.

Naw it's going to be pretty much stock, maybe get an intake and exhaust or something. Don't really need ANOTHER fast car and I already have a daily driver so basically this project is to so for the experience and to see just how well my Painting skills have developed. We'll see how it goes, I feel pretty confident it will look and run really well. It also is going to be smog legal so no Header.

Figure I'd let you guys know since my friend ended up not wanting it.

There's an arctic silver 88 T2 up here in Chico, guys asking between $2500-$3000 I think. 150K on the odometer, pretty good condition. Little paint fade on the hood scoop and roof. Pass. side mirror glass is busted. Pass window and sun roof have issues opening/closing, probably gunky tracks. Interior is in good shape, few minor tears and common broken vents.

Otherwise its been sitting a few months and probably would be good after a tune up and full fluid change.

If anyone wants to call the guy who owns it to check it out just PM me for his number.

My friend acted like he wanted it so we checked it out a bunch but he bitched out and decided to keep his 240sx so I'm kind of pissed about that but figure if any norcal'ers are looking for a TII I'd post this up here.

Depends, do you want a REALLY nice FC or a pretty shitty FD? Do you have a susbstantial income? If not, I'd make sure you buy a cream puff. Well maintained, good body, low mileage etc.

Another thing to think about is if this is going to be your daily driver or your fun/weekend car. (Recommended) If you want to make an Rx7 fast you'll have to pay to play. Chances are you won't have a ride sometimes so another car would be essential. A naturally aspirated FC is a decent daily driver and trying to make one fast is going to be costly and smog ILLEGAL so there is really no point.

If you're lookin at TII's and planning to modify it, I would suggest having a second car handy. If you're lookin at FD's I would suggest a second vehicle as well.

I sold my FD for 8k with 242k miles and the motor was on it's way out. There may be better deals out there but I'd be wary. Do your research and don't rush, pick the right one and you'll be set. Good Luck!

Wish I had the money Matt, I'd love to have an FC again especially a TII. But I gotta finish the 1st gen first before any other cars roll in or my parents will have a heart attack. haha
