Back from hiatus
Hello, all. I'm getting back into the scene, but only as a track junkie. See my most recent post in the Race section....will be at Thill March 8/9.

Was that the Montego Blue one with Washington plates off East 1st Ave? I saw one there for the last couple of years, then saw a For Sale sign, and now it's gone. I own rentals in Chico and am up there with some frequency.......

Not sure, probably. Saw it on craigslist, sent an e-mail about it last night and it was sold lol.

So I'm fairly new to the car scene. I track every once in a while but I'm wondering if there are any bay area RX-7 meets where I can swing by to get to know some of you guys. The very few guys I have run in to have been very cool and I'm looking forward to meeting some more people with similar interest in cars. Aside from just hanging out I'm also looking for a some hardcore track guys that would like to hit the tracks with me. I definitely don't see enough FDs out there.

Third meet:
Currently being worked on.
A few of us went to Thunderhill earlier this month and a couple others are thinking of going to Infineon June or July so It would be cool to have more 7s at the track.

I'm really sad I missed Thill on Feb. 8th as I heard that was going to be a lot of track time. I get scared shitless at Infineon but I guess you need to face the dragon every once in a while. Is March 8th with NASA? Thanks for the links to the meets!

naw, the 3/8/08 meet is a bunch of local guys getting together for a nice drive and BBQ.
The infineon track day will be with Trackmasters and It will be my third time there (first time with my current project) and you gotta face your fears in order to get better.

Good stuff, I'm sure I'll have more questions as we get closer to that Saturday. What can I bring to contribute to the BBQ or is it usually just throwing down a few bucks when you show up?
#1066
I'm trying to make sure the BBQ spot will be available but I'll get some details within the next couple of weeks.

sweet. only 22 cars per event so keep an eye out on the registration numbers and enroll before it's full.
Never liked HIN, has it changed in the last 4 years?
Is it an S15 conversion or an S15?

no. We CAN be there is you take plenty of pics and vids though. The next track after Infineon will be Laguna Seca for sure but it's too soon after Thunderhill, I have to work on the cars a tad more. Who are you going with?

if it's the one i checked out i think $6k is a bit too high. had a salvaged title, small engine fire damage to the hood and both rotor housings were leaking coolant internally and likely the coolant never got drained out like i suggested so the internals will be nice and rusty... aka complete crap short block.
