That's clean.

But my main reason for posting: Does anyone have an unlimited carfax report? I need a VIN check, I would really appreciate it.

Check the basics, oil, coolant. Also should check your brake/clutch cylinders, make sure they aren't low or anything. Same for power steering pump if you have one. Tire pressure too if you haven't checked it in awhile ...

hahaha, I never understood that.. other then making it easier to get at things in the engine bay... you gain maybe 1 or 2 hp from not having the pulley hooked up. Its very nice to have when going to seven stock. Same goes for power steering.

I'll be getting rid of my power steering hopefully soon (I got a manual steering rack 20:1 ratio) but I'll be keeping my AC. Though granted I have it right now but it doesn't work well enough to counter act the raise in engine temps so I use it rarely. Hopefully Stans compressor will work better.

I've had my FC for 2 years and have never used the AC. I haven't gutted the system nore plan to but I can see why people do it. The engine bay looks a lot cleaner with no AC and PS.

Women would rather ride in your car with you if it's NOT 100 degrees inside.

Ahh I remember those days. It hasn't been that long actually and the AC in my current vehicle doesn't work yet either.

Hopkins, if you having problems with AC rasing your engine temps that much then your cooling system isn't up to par in my opinion.

I didn't have AC in a bunch of cars, in fact my FD had it removed and I put it back in. Mike is finishing it up I am sure.

Instead of making your car drop 30 lbs you yourself could drop 30 pounds (granted you might be skinny already) or how about those people who have two 12 inch sub woofers + stereo equipment to weight the whole thing down haha. There's a whole new argument. I know I could use to lose 30 lbs myself. (damn desk job)

I am not saying you have the above, just a simple saying that alot of people strip their cars of the nice items to save weight but then wont give up the 100lbs of stereo equipment.

I was still able to get plenty decent gas mileage for the cruise control set at 95-100 on the fc, with the AC on. Its not a prius for ***** sake.

To hell with passenger's they just take up space and never pay for gas anyways.

i'd be dead if i lost 30lbs, and as for the stereo equipment i have 2 inifinity perfect 12's and a 2800watt amplifier, 3 farad capacitor, all 0 gauge wire.... sitting on the floor in my bedroom, i probably should just sell it all. it's all from the wrx wagon i had before, where the extra weight didn't matter.

i've done alot of things to lighen this car just look at my Vbgarage i've kept it well updated

Damn you skinny people. haha, well yeah I think the 2800w would be a little extreme for the cab of any RX-7... but hey don't get me wrong, I like a nice sounding stereo system. I had a alpine type-r 10 in my FC with a 1000w amp which sounded great.. infinity components and some nice speakers up front too.

I pulled the a/c out of my car since the fmic was blocking too much air as it was so I was having cooling issues even with a super koyo, 70/30 mixture of water/coolant with water wetter, black magic e-fan...the e-fan was ALWAYS on since the car was ALWAYS at 200F just sitting in traffic....never would go any lower stupid fmic blocks so much air...and it does clean up my engine bay nicely lol...if I didn't have heating issues I'd put the a/c RIGHT back in...the ladies hate sticking to my seats lol

the biggest problem is my subs require alot of air space so it would need a giant box, i'm just not down for that. this car is being put together for pure performance, most likely all that crap is going on craigslist soon.

i have infinity all the way around already with 4's up front and components in the back w/the tweeters in the b-pillars and i love it, very little bass though but clear as it's gonna get without alot more money.

Workin' on it, heh. I finally found a Mana A/C compressor, man that bastard was hard to find. I'm sure the one you had on there was fine, but it was pretty mangled so I figured I might as well replace it just in case. Still need to put it on though. Hopefully nothing leaks.

I plan to keep all the luxury stuff on the 94. My other FD I've stripped everything off (A/C systen, power steering/manual conversion, pop-up headlights, etc.) which surprisingly has probably added up to ~200 lbs. or so shaved off the car. I haven't actually weighed it all yet, but it's quite a bit. All that plus the conversion to single turbo, which will probably save another 50lbs. because off all the garbage you can remove. So I figure I'll have the one luxury/daily FD and one stripped/single FD, unless I find something else I want -- then I'll ditch the single turbo project, heh.

Well the thing is I never needed AC when I was down in Fremont, but now that I'm back up in Chico it is a lot hotter. And I only really need it for when I come down to visit the Bay Area, the drive on 5-505 is pretty warm pending what time of day I head down, thats really all I need to AC for. Driving around town in Chico I'm fine with the windows down.

Well I hope everyone had fun at rotorfest. I was having a blast at the track. Managed a 12.9 @ 107mph (best time) and a 13.1@111mph (best trap). It was all a game of traction that I was losing haha By the third run I didn't have enough gas in the tank to keep some weight on the rear so it was even worse. Next time I'll run some drag radials and hope for some sub 12.5 sec passes.
