Either the 7th or the 14th. Not sure on location or what's going on as of yet. Let's hear some ideas everybody.

as i said earlier you all are welcome to have a meet at my house/shop but that i guess is up to how many people would be willing to make the 45 minute drive from sac.

How bout somewhere in davis? or maybe a little more that way, since the bay area guys are having to drive so far. Of course in the spring we can go to prestons as he offered. We could meet at MUGA again, but we really oughta have something else to do after that. Like a dinner or something. Let's shoot for the 14th so that the holiday rushes have calmed down.

I put a comment out in the Dec Xmas thread about doing a ralleye event. I sent Zach/Steven the rules that Rhonda and I came up with.

It would make for a fun event with 2 cash prizes and 2 consolation prizes for participating.

If the meet is by mid jan then I am cool. After that.. it's a head shave and desert camo's till May.

How far away from Sac is Lemoore?

Evan, I got your PM and am reviewing it. I think it sounds really cool so far.

Alright time to procrastinate doing my paper thats due in 6 hours, so lets see...

I second the idea for a fun run type event, assuming we can throw one together in the time we have before Evan leaves (also will be replying to the PM momentarily).

Other ideas- MUGA meet would work, though I know that won't get the highest turnout, maybe a movie meet or something if you guys want? Or... theres always RPM if you guys are feeling a little spendy?

Now time for my track day run through since no one else (except Rich) bothered to go (cough cough Ben)-
a) Had sooo much fun! I'm offically hooked, I can't wait to do another, though I'm worried how well my car will hold up to it.
b) HUGE thanks to Rich (though I dunno if he'll read this) for being there and kind of taking me under his wing as far as all the track day basics/supplies were concerned.
c) Saw the Shock Drifting LS1 FD and realized that he must not have a throttle, but rather an "on/off" switch.
d) Managed to pass a S14 (the guy came up to me later and wanted advice) and an Evo (though I don't think he was really trying when I passed him) among others, and generally kept the pace with the other cars that were around my area of performance.
e) Came to the conclusion that for one of our meets, we need to get a large group together and rent out Thunderhill because that track is fun as hell!

Thanks Steven, it was no problem. Too bad I went off track and had the tire problem. It looks like the rim and tire are ok. Ben, the engine is holding just fine for track days. I will have to go with you guys to an autocross event to see how that is.

autocrossing sounds cool to me. How about drag racing? The drag strip still opens during the weekend for Test and Tune.

Is everyone up for a poker/fun run for the Jan meet? It could be somewhere between Sac and the Bay to make it fair for everyone. Plus people would be less likely to know the roads already. What does everyone think?

And this will be my last post until Sunday or Monday since Berry and I leave today to go down to Irwindale for the D1. We'll take tons of pictures for all of you who aren't going. Talk to you all next week.

i suggested that in the last thread but i was thinking that it probably would rain and it wouldnt be any fun to drive around berryesa if it rains. so i was thinking we could do that in a few more months when we know it will be good weather. also i live about 15-20mins from the lake so when we do decide to do that we can have the meet at my house.

Yea...that's highway 116....way fun....I heard that the county recently repaved it so its nice and smooth...

My vote is that you guys come out here for a cruise or something. we have excellent backroads and ****...

we can all go hit dinner somewhere and some coffee at the local lesbian-owned coffeeshop!

that is, if everyone is interested....

I unfortunately can't host anything at my house because I live in a trailer park....
