I moved back about a month ago. I'm back with the parents but will be moving out to a place of my own in Emeryville in January. Did you ever get the rear skirt on your car? I haven't seen either of your GTUs's in a long time. Too bad I can't drive my car on the street anymore.

Drftwerks, one hour drive? Bitch, bitch, bitch. You're the one who said you'd go if I went. Well then, I AM GOING. I have to drive an hour too. Oh wait, I also have to trailer my car there! I was seriously not planning to go because of all the trouble it would be for me until my cousin Thaddeus pointed out your post. Well ****, guess I'll be seeing you there.

I don't mind if there is no bbq. But we should find some place to hang out/chill before the shoot and cruise.

I made it from Ohio to Cali in 2 days.

Arrived via plane on Friday, left by Sat. at noon and was back home by Monday at 10AM.

Stopped to eat and/or switch drivers. It's not very fun but it works if you wanna get someplace quick.

And I didn't need any Vanishing Point drugs to do it.

Yeah, it's going to be a bitch but I'll be there. I just realized my car will be stored at work, so...

1) drive from Milpitas to Sonoma that morning
2) hook up trailer and load up the FC
3) drive back down to Emeryville
4) chill and hang out. can't go on the cruise.
5) drive back up to Sonoma and unload
6) drive back to Milpitas

...so this is why I don't understand why people bitch about a little 45-60 min drive. There aren't many Bay Area meets like there used to be. When I had the time back in 2000 and 2001 to organize the Bay Area RX7/240sx meets, it was always a good time, plenty of cars, more than enough food, and ended with a nice cruise.

Now, rx7 meets/bbqs are a rare occurance. People complain there aren't any, but when one happens, they'll bitch that they have other plans, don't want to make the drive, or ***** out. Give me a break. Its only one day in your entire life.

I was thinking leaving at 1, 1:30 and take a nice relaxing cruise up to emmeryville if the BBQ doesn't happen.

If it DOES happen then we'd leave at 11, 11:30 to get there by one and chill till the meet at 3.

Well sure, back in the day I could. Now I'm hauling in a 140k mile Pathfinder a small trailer, my chick, our 10-year old game-head, two herding dogs, a couple of cats and a partridge in a pear tree. Doesn't help that I'm pushing a half century and can't afford a ticket due to my security clearance!

BTW, when where you in "Fayette-nam." I was there for a chuck of of last year.

Anyways, I'm very much looking to meet the South Bay, NorCal rotary crowd! Guess I'll officially add myself to the list.
