Nothing really wrong with it, just going bigger and better with some things.

Full coilover's rather than cheap shock/spring/threaded adjuster tubes, replacement of all the rubber bushings with polyurethane, frame and suspension re-inforcement, bodywork and paint, transmission rebuild, R200 rear end, and so on.

This is going under the hood of the Z...

Damn Josh...that's like everything I had planned with my Z when I had it. Full resto and refresher. Weld some custom coilovers and camber plates, bushings, etc...and I wanted an Ls1 or RB25.

Only have the one now, my 1973 240Z. Sold the bike back in Nov and the 1971 is just a shell in the backyard, might just make some sort of a race car out of it or something as it's got a while before the backfee's are out of DMV's records haha.
Last I looked the fee's were in the $1,000 range from CHP and what not from the previous owner. When I cleaned out the interior I found 4 speeding tickets

Zccjdm.com now makes adapter kit's for us S30 guy's to mount the Megan/EMUSA coilovers to the spindle's as well as the camber plate adapters, best choice there is for now.

$450 for EMUSA coilovers ( Same manufacture as Megan just has no dampening adjustment ) + $225 for the coilover adapter kit = $675 for a S30 full coilover kit.
I'm a cheap bastard right now as I'm running out of money to finish the damn car They'll be swapped for a set of Megan street's after about a year or so...

As you know that's about our only choice for now short of spending $4,000 for a set of coilovers that will take 6 months to get here from japan haha or spending the big bucks and going for the full setup which is around $8,000 or so which I can't afford to spend right now.
Silk road or even JIC was on my mind... but nobody makes the threaded "steel" ( key word ) tubes to weld to the spindle other than Zccjdm which only fit Megan/EMUSA coilovers, the Megan/EMUSA will get the job done though.

Yeah...I was going to get some Koni Yellows, weld them into the stock housings then weld on spring perches, camber plates, etc...would cost like $2k, but it would be the most badass feasible setup I could think of.

 

I might make the trek up there from modesto. Only an hour 20 mins away and the 7 scene down here sucks. Havent even seen another one driving in like 5 months atleast except a couple rx8s. Lok
