P.S. thanks to you forum menbers helping me get her up and running. hopfully we figure out the problem before IDRC goes to Palmdale.

hey Bern whats going on with flaco these days?? he didnt qualify at Etown and he bearly made it at this event...is it a car problem, track problem, tire shake problem or just plain bad luck?? a few races ago almost every pass was a 6 second one...i hope they have better luck next season, because i know these guys work very hard to get that car to run the numbers...why dont they update flaco-racing.com?? and why dont RN.com sell new Flaco merchandise,it might help the team financially since they dont have a main sponser....

The team is trying hard, but now that the motors are doing fine, and we've stepped-up the performance, other auxiliary systems are starting to break or show weakness...

at E-Town we had major waste-gate issues, but TIAL came through with a redesign that fixed these for Pomona. This weekend we were having major tire-shake issues getting out of the hole, but we had it solved when the turbo let go. That made two brand-new turbos in three days. We had a new Garrett set-up which worked great, but turned out to be a little fragile on the Rotary. Garrett has taken the turbos and assures us, that a fix in the works, and we have all confidence in them.

So this year, we finally found some secrets to keeping engines together, but other things started to break when we stepped it up. It's hard being the R&D guys for the Rotary... the piston boys all have the advantage of many teams sharing technology via suppliers, so they progress a lot faster. It also didn't help that we had zero budget to test this season.

On Flaco.Com, we will be launching an update in the off-season. RN.com has been in discussions with Flaco to sell new merchandise, but no firm decisions have been made yet...

Abel wanted to thank all the fans in the stands this weekend, and for the support this entire year. It's been the worst season ever for Flaco Racing, beyond stepping up the Rotary records with 6.79 ETs and 210 MPH, and the fans have still been there for the team. We hope to show better next season!

Yeah we know Abel is not having a good year but I still support him 100%
I remember when he was dominating the import racing scene in his R100 which I think he should of never retired. And he was on top eventhough with his 3rd Gen which was a beast, it was crzay when he broke into the 6 seconds in that car. Now the RX8 which is the craziest looking car around will dominate once again as soon as he figures out all the little bugs on the car. I think he is just giving everyone a chance to be on top.
Rotaries are dominating on the Modified class but now its time to take back PRO RWD!!!

Hey Bern I believe I saw you there on Saturday! (Do you ware glasses????)

Thanks 13BNUT! Yes I wear glasses... I was wearing a button-down MazdaSpeed shirt on Saturday!

Congrat to Ken Scheepers and Dee K. for making the modified final. Dee took his first win ever at a pro-drag race event! Good to see th FD running strong. Ken lost 5th gear in the RX-8 and was no match for Dee like that. Also to Rene Franco for getting his old school RX-3 into the semi's with a 150mph blast!!

Also to Ed Bergenholtz for wrapping up the PRO-FWD title in his MazdaSpeed-6!

Great representation by Mazda and Rotary power at this event!!!

You would think that Mazda would be willing to step up to the plate and be willing to sponsor such a promising car. It is too bad. Hopefully, you guys will get some major sponsorship soon.
