Exclamation Need a mechanic

Hello, I am new to this forum and am looking forward to helping and receiving any help as well as learning from all of you. However, I need some assistance, I am purchasing a 95-R2 and need to know where I can find a reputable mechanic in the Inland Empire. Thanks for your help. Also the car that I am purchasing, I have been told has a small oil pan gasket leak, and I have been advised by a mechanic that this isn't a big deal, with the car currently having 74K miles, wait until it is time for a rebuild then have the problem taken care of. He quoted me around $700 to repair now and stated that the engine might have about 30K miles left. Any advice on that....

Well, how long it takes you to put 30,000 miles on your car will determine how long you are drueling oil. If you're mechanically inclined, it only costs about $20.00 for a good grade of sealant to repair the oil pan yourself. It is not an easy job, but I would think you would want to stop that oil leak. $700.00 seems a little pricey, but I think I would want to avoid a messy driveway and the hassle of it regularly dripping. Non-RX friends love to remind you about the fact you're dripping oil.
