3-4 inches for my truck to lock
never we were golden
there not that bad
yup
that car does pull like a mother ******
we were over it the night it happened and were pumped to go back
left or right you just have to get good at them..
got to make it happen and get used to it
i thought this was going to happen to rocks by the way his car was gangster leaning
Dodge Viper Vs. Mountain.
Dodge Viper Vs. Mountain.
there not that bad
yup
We both are lol! Mike says I attack them the same way, but I get uneasy going from a fast sweeping right to a quick transition/90+degree left. My spool is sick in 3rd at about 4K up, which is where I'm usually at. Depending on my mood, I'll use 4th because I don't know the *exact* limits of my car yet.
Even Teddy was like "Damn dude, this bitch pulls!"
Edit to add: Riding with him was a thrill, but we both were like "oh shiiiiiiiit!" in most of the same turns.

left or right you just have to get good at them..
I can't believe that I had the courage to ride with you. That whole looking over the side, while ripping through the turn is a whole other experience. I usually don't notice/care about that when I'm driving.
I think what it is about a lot of those left hand turns up there is the transition from shade to sunlight that blinds you. You're left with half a second of blindness...

Saw you guys on Saturday leaving Ramona on 67 headed back into S.D. I was in the Evo going the opposite way. Wish I could have gone with you guys but I had in-laws in town that I had to show around S.D.
BTW, there is an open track day coming up at Willow Springs at the end of the month on June 21st and 22nd. Here is the info I got:
Is anyone coming?
It’s just a little under 3 weeks away before the June 21st & 22nd event and we only have a handful of people signed up. This is our only weekend event for the year, and the only reason I do this event is because so many people ask me to. The June dates are some of the best weather dates of the year, and with no conflicting holidays. So why the very low sign ups? If you are planning on attending the event, please take the time to register. If you’re mailing in your registration, please send me an email so I know your coming. If you can’t make the event, then please help spread the word of the event so we can fill the spots. I love being at the track and if I have to kick in a few dollars to make the event happen I don’t mind, but to spend thousands of dollars for just a few of us to be at the track is totally ridicules. Lets all pitch in to fill the event! If you guy’s don’t want to do the weekend events please tell me and the is be the last one.
Thanks, Kailo
OPEN TRACK RACING
OK Racers,
This is our once a year, 2 day, weekend event! It is my hope to get everyone signed up early so we can close enrollment prior to the event. This will be to make sure the event is not to crowded! It also makes it easier for me to set up run groups, order shirts or duffle bags, and makes sure we have enough food for everyone. Please take the time to sign up early.
This event is scheduled for June 21 & 22, 2008 on the big track at Willow Springs. As most of you are aware I've had trouble getting people to sign up early, so this is what I've decided to do. The price for the event will be $195 for one day, and $370 for both days. If you sign up in the last 2 weeks before the event the price will be increased by $25, and if you sign up the day of the event the price will be increased by $50. Basically what I’m asking is for people to sign up early. I know sometimes it’s hard to commit so early, but please try. This event will be run in the same fashion as all previous events. We will have three run groups, beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each run group will get (5) 30 minute run sessions totaling 2 1/2 hours of track time. For all newbies or people who want to attend, we will have classroom instruction followed by on-track instruction. As always, all paid participants will get an all you can eat BBQ lunch and an OPEN TRACK RACING shirt. Please remember that all OTR events are open to all that want to attend, so please tell a friend!
Please help out by registering early! You can get all the information at www.opentrackracing.com .
Thanks, Kailo

Dave would have been a great addition to the bunch!
As for the turns, Teddy is right. I'm just more comfortable with right-handed turns. I think my experience coming into a left turn waaaaay too hot in Dave's Evo left me scarred hahahaha. Either way, it was great to go out there and have such an adrenaline rush. Poor Ray only speaks about a paragraph and we write books, verbally speaking.
Notice how when we talk about the run that just happened, we keep going over the same details like it was the first time???
"I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!!"
Jen- ahh, goofy footed. I used to be more ambidextrous (feet&hands). When I break out my skateboard, I usually feel more comfortable goofy; though I'm regular on a surf/snowboard. It's weird.

I would like to get people together for a trip to Adams Kart Track in Riverside. I'll send em an email this week to see if they have any specials and get back to everybody.

So my in-laws are here from Texas and I ran them into town from my house (San Diego Country Estates aka the Barona Track) down from Ramona through Barona into Lakeside. They're all flatlanders from South Texas and they were all yapping it up as we were leaving the neighborhood. First 5 turns they all said "Hay Way" in Spanish which basically equates to "Damn Man" in English. After the first about 7 turns they didn't say a single word the whole rest of the way and just held on. Sad part was that I wasn't even REMOTELY pushing it. They told my wife that they don't want to ride with me anymore because they're too scared. Hahahaha..... If they only saw some our antics when PKilla ran off the road! Bwahahaha!
