the 200sx in the us looks like this
it is front drive and badged as a sentra 200sx with the optional SE-R model. had the sr20de front drive in it. never offered as a turbo nor as a rear drive either.
this here is the 240sx (s13). it came with a ka24de motor (hence the 240 name) it would have had in japan a SR20 rear drive in it which would have been why it would have been badged a 200sx there. the "silvia" in japan had a TON of options and trim levels that were never offered here as well as different body components than here so they looked a bit different. like the "k" or other trims. this body also had the ca18 motor in it which is where you get the "180sx" name as well. oh and this was also available as a hatch (seen below)which i dont think looks as good but....still

**** my mother refuses to give me money....i remember calling her one time when i was in college asking her for 50$ so i could go to the grocery store to buy food for a week and she told me no and to get another job (mind you i had 2 jobs and was going to school full time)
and my father...well he is a broke *** piece of **** that i dont speak to so.......
i have had to bust my *** to get good paying jobs. thats all. i work hard. well sorta lol.
im very much one of those people though that can save money if i want something. granted i want everything and get myself what i want but still.....

been there done that!!! sounds like we have much in common, minus the part where i call mom asking for money! My dumb *** moved out of the house @17 and pretty much lost all my privileges. But hell i know i wasn't getting a car out of them nor financial support any longer.
I cant complain about anything @ this point in life.

oh well.....and i kinda looked at it like she knew i was trying and ( i dont hold it against her)she refused to help me because she was being a bitch. it wasnt because she didnt have it by any means she just didnt feel like it and wanted to prove a point.
**** i at one point had 2 full time jobs and a part time one. i literally left my house for work at 5 am every day and came home at 2 am every night. needless to say that didnt last to long. i think i made it a few months before i nearly killed myself of sleep deprivation. plus i came to the conclusion i had all this money but what was the point cuz i never had time to enjoy it.....
idk i have a job that pays ok. i live in a nice area. i have 2 cars i love. i have an awesome b/f. i may not be the richest person in the world but im comfy. and plus im a firm believer in buy the nice thing once instead of the crappy thing 10 times.

lol as for the car.....my first new car i owned was a 2001 honda civic. i saved up money for a down payment and made monthly payments on it.
to bad the car was a piece of **** and ended up being a lemon. it spent about a year of the year and a half that i owned it at honda "being fixed" this year was off and on but still......it spent too much time there..... so i drove around one of the spare cars (1984 chrysler new yorker turbo) when it was free or i walked to work. the only reason i was driving the car is i had some crappy hours at the time and they didnt want me walking home at 2am. and my 7 had burned to the ground so i didnt have a second car....
after that lol i got all the money i had paid into the car so i took that and bought a spec v which i proceeded to drive off a cliff 3 months later. turned around and got another spec v a week later and still have that car. had another 7 somewhere in there which my ex husband (stupid ******) forged my signature and donated when i left him.
and then we all know the story with my current 7.
prior to that i had a few other old cars that i drove around but i mostly walked.

that's why they must all burn and bring back the 300twin-turbo fairlady and make re-runs of the r33 and r34 for our domestic market.....

speaking of nissan, our pathfinder got smashed up by some idiot driver on the road...
i have to admit, it was most likely one of the cleanest old pathfinders out there.
original paint, and it still was bright red like a sports car. *sigh* oh well.

Those f'n 300ZX TT's are pigs and are a HUGE PITA to work on. Friend of mine had one and the f'n thing was so damn frustrating to work on because there was just no room in the engine bay.
I had my S13 with an SR20DET and I tell you what, I LOVED that thing. It was soooooo easy to work on and as Jen pointed out, parts are plentiful and dirt frickin cheap.

yes, Mr. money I also worked on the fatlady, i mean fairlady back in the days. Even with my delicate small asian hands the ****** ****** has no room under the bonnet,------- but hey 300tt is and always will be one of those "wow do you remember that cars" of our generation.

the z32 to me is like the TII. they are a ******* pain in the *** to work on they look like bloated door wedges and just flat out fat.
then again the "silvia" is not terribly "skinny" either......idk.
the z32 and the TII are both cars that are cool if they belong to someone else aand you dont have to work on them.
