Motorcycle Classes
Can anyone recommend one near the SGV area or within like 20-30 miles radius?
Only one I know of is one that is at CalPoly or something?
What's the avg cost of the class? $300?

first thing i would look up is MSF(motorcycle safety foundation). i took the class. i had too sign up like 3 months in advance. but it was worth it. 180 for people under 21. and 235 for people over 21. that class will teach u bout 3 years worth of riding. first day is class and book stuff. then after that all riding lessons in a empty parking lot. wen u go too the riding portion of the class. mite wanna take snacks and lots of water. and if u can take riding gloves and a helmet with you. even though they provide them at the class. i don't know who's been wearing those things. they'll mostly have cruising bikes and maybe 1 or 2 ninja 250. hope u have fun at class. and i hope i was some help. have fun and ride safe

well yea those classes get filled up quickly. and if u sign up at the wrong time. classes get booked for months. ohh and wen u get ur certificate. some motorcycle gear shops give u a 15% discount for passing the class. so try too buy all ur gear at once. or buy the needed things. like gloves, motorcycle jacket, good helmet(shoei, arai, etc, etc). probably the most costly things outta these would be the helmet. a shoei helmet could throw u back 500-600 easy. but helmet will always save your life. i highly recommend getting a full-face helmet. but that's me.

$150 I might add =) good timing too, turning 21 in less than two months haha.

When I took the class, I had already been riding for a couple of months. After riding around on a Gixxer 600, those little 250 rebels were like scooters. Those things are so light and easy to throw around that I actually considered buying one as a second bike. Heck, I kind of want to take the class again so I can ride around on one. You'll have tons of fun on those things.
