Just in general on helmets you can find pretty cheap ones on Craigslist. Took me a few years to get to it and I wish I had way earlier. :p

 

With the small numbers of mazda's reporting to this event over the past few years, they've let other makes and models run on the course with us. So go ahead and bring that High Priced Hooker of yours out

I still can't rid of them treads man! I would think by now, they would be bald. I am trying to convert to 18's all around instead of 18/19 setup. Better tire selection.

 

So how does the race car ride along work exactly? I wanted to do it last time but got so wrapped up in doing other crap last time that I completely forgot about it! I remember a line somewhere in the pits where ppl were standing... so you just get in line and wait your turn basically?

There is a line, yes, but you have to sign up for run groups as well. There's going to be a booth for that. Last year's was my first one ever and I signed in (got to the place around 10AM I think), didn't get to ride until later around 2 or 3 ish. But that was over a year ago and I'm pretty damn sure that those numbers aren't exactly accurate. I'm waiting for contact information to make sure I'm secured as an official Mazfest volunteer so perhaps I can get more details.

That aside, it was a sick *** time and further cemented my dreams of taking my car to the track some day.

Prep time begins; spent the first full weekend in the garage in many a month, reworking my center console. It is now Be-yoo-tee-full!
