Anyone in OC interested in signing up for this? I'm going with my first gen.

Schedule This will be the first Gymkana event of the season held at El Toro Field.

Location Description
Driving Directions The event is located at the El Toro Field in Irvine. All drivers must enter through gate 9 on Marine Way.

From the 5 Fwy:
Take the Sand Canyon Road exit.
From the Northbound exit:
-Follow ramp down to the stoplight and turn right on Sand Canyon
-Immediately move to the left turn lane (25ft.) and turn left on Marine Way
-Proceed ½ mile to the El Toro (gate 9) entrance guard shack located straight ahead.
-Follow signs to the AMCI Drive Center
From the Southbound exit:
-Turn left onto Sand Canyon and immediately move to the right lane
-Immediately after going under the I-5 freeway overpass, turn right onto Marine Way.
-Proceed ½ mile to the El Toro (gate 9) entrance guard shack located straight ahead.
-Follow signs to the AMCI Drive Center

Important rules:
-Stay on the marked path to your location
-Do not wander or explore the base
-Stay within the speed limit as Irvine PD actively tickets on the base.
-We reserve the right to remove any individual who violates the rules set forth by the organizers of the event.

Maximum Entries 60
Registration Deadline 23-Mar-2007 Entries must be received prior to the Owner

sounds like fun, but don't know how well a legacy would do in the awd class... =/

Legacy is sweet! Do it.

I have an FD, but I'm taking SA-22 because it'll be more fun to beat on that thing.

It's $120 for the whole day. Should be fun. Maybe we can get some food after the event at In N Out or something, too.

$120 = how many runs and the website says SA95 helmet is okay?

From my understanding there are three different run groups and we'll go from the morning until the event ends in the late afternoon. The information on the site is slightly misleading only because it sounds like there's a specific number of runs.

I'll e-mail them for some additional details. I think a 95 or newer helmet should be fine--that's what the regulations pages states.
