Vegas 7 Scene
Hey dude...congrats on your RX7 purchase. The scene out here in Vegas as far as RX7's go is unfortunately dead. There was a group a few years ago that was headed by a great guy named Dan M... (but he owns an 8 now!). More importantly, there is NOWHERE to go here in town to work on your 7. Please don't try this. I have a highly modified FD and all my work is done in S. Cal at Tri-Point Engineering (www.tri-pointengineering.com) and it's awesome work. I have followed the RX7 scene here in Vegas for 6 years now ever since moving to town. Serious tuners unfortunately have no recourse here whatsoever.
Mind you - the above info applies just to the RX7 - it's quite different apparently for the RX8's and other rotaries.
Good luck to ya man and feel free to email if you need any more info.

Steve can do rebuilds, definitely a good guy.
I'm out here too, as well as Vegas FD. I know about 3 other people in Vegas as well with FDs and a ton of FC owners.

This just isnt true at all. We started vegasrotary.com about a year and a half ago and are growing all the time. It started with 3 of us and has grown by leaps and bounds. We meet up every wednesday, although the turnout varies week by week.

Wishin I Still Had The FD
I'm here in Vegas too. There aren't any rotary shops, you kinda have to be your mechanic Unless you want to drive to SoCal. It's nice to learn about the cars firsthand anyway.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm willing to help any Vegas FD owners out, I can do pretty much anything outside of the motor. If you need a rebuild, then Gonzz (Steve) is your guy, but anything else I can do.
VegasFD (Scott) is getting up there on the knowledge tree too

Wow...now I really want to move to Vegas!Sounds like the scene is cool.
I am sick of California/Bay area. Houses are over priced, bridge tolls going up, roads are fcked up(on 80 and 680 anyways), gun laws suck, smogging sucks especially for swaps, I make good money and I still cant keep up with the cost of living! I am so ready for a change.
I hope I am doin' the right thing? Desert life here I come!

I have an FC but it has a 96 mustang GT 4.6L V8 swap so I wont be needing a rotary mechanic in Vegas. I know rotory purist hate guys like me but hey its the land of the free...I didnt go to war for nothing...I love my freedom!
I like the fact that you can tint the front 2 windows... Vegas is going to be alot of fun.
