Kragen racing seats

Have you guys seen these?

Now, don't get all picky on me. I am sure that Ricaros are much better seats. But I am not going to win the SCCA class anytime soon. I jsut want some seats that are not torn to ****.

I was looking at buying the Tonakas for $450 per set. But since they are a Ricaro or what ever knockoff....why not get a cheap knock off. Whats the difference once you start going knock off?

Garza's auto upholstry in LaPuente will re-do the stockers for $325 in fake leather and $650 in real leather per set. These after markets are $119 each after a $20 rebate.

True dat! My *** always hurts where the sides of the seat are located. It feels like you have too much in your wallet. but you really can't afford to get a Chick filet.

These are a bit wider.

i would check out the recliner mechanisms, bolt em down in the car and just about try to knock it over with all your weight in one good slam, preferably with some sort of cushion to protect yourself in case the damn things break, if they do they tell them to shove em up their ***, you don't want them to break in an accident or you will have a serious back injury.

if they are comfortable and sturdy i don't see why not.

One of my friends has these in his eclipse, i drove it around for several days, Had no problems with wierd pains or anything like that, felt really sturdy, and cumfy. I plan on getting them for my FC here pretty soon since although i love my stockers, they're so fucked, and its not worth it to get them redone, way too much mula.

Plus, these have no badges or markings on them. i kinda like that, simple and still reclinable(sp?)

Are you asking if it will fit your daily driver?

Well, is it FIA legal seat? If it is your fine.. but I highly dout it is.. Just find a FIA legal seat as that will allow you to run in almost any race organazation, scca, nasa.. etc.

Yes but you notice one thing, once seats start becoming SCCA approved the price jumps to almost $600 each seat!!

don't do that!!! it'll lead to sciatic nerve problems later in life. put your wallet in your shirt pocket or center console.

If he's not ever planning to race or track, why does he need an FIA seat?

btw, if you're looking for FIA, do what I did. I bought a pair of used Sparco Revs for $300 each. They don't recline, but you really do get used to it.

I wanna go to track days but not with SCCA events. Just local car clubs and they are a little less strict.

Dave, I don't have my wallet back there. I was just using it as an example of what it feels like.

ok so, i work at kragen, we have a few of those seats, i wouldnt waste my money on them, they are CRAP, and they will not last more than a year before they start falling apart, if made to choose between those and APC i would choose APC and i ******* hate APC. So, yeah, theres a little experiance for you.
