Invitation! 5th Japanese Classic Car Show in Oct.3. 2009

Hi Rotory guys! I would like to invite you all to the 5th annual JCCS in SoCal, happening in October 3rd. Place will be the pretty Irvine where the Mazda is located!

As the Seven Stock is the most exciting event a week before the JCCS, though if you can have time please visit the JCCS with family. Once a year Kyu-sha reunion, all pre- 1985 JP makes welcome. Go go Mazda! Looking forward to having you all again!

Thanks!
Terry

Funny thing that is happening in Cali...well, this is the "WEST RX-7" forum. Not the "SOUTHEAST RX-7" forum...

Why the need to troll all the way in the West?

Pertano, you've seen my car... do you think this show'd be worth the $40 and the day spent for me to show up? Or would I be 'fighting outside my weight class?'

That is correct sir.... actually Terry, Koji, and the SS crew all colaborate to get this bad boy done. They also have helped us out for years at SS, even before they started this event!

The JCCS is a great event, if you can make... do so!!!

DIVIN,
JCCS is about the cars bro. Not the trophy's. Or at least it is for me. I just go for the fun and to check out all the nice rides that show up. You're RX7 will be right at home there bro. Maybe it will win something. Maybe it won't. But at the end of the day you really won't notice. Two years ago I won a trophy and wasn't even paying attention. I was to busy talking to the guys from Crown Classics in Japan and my lady had to go up and get the trophy we won. She walked up to me kind of mad that she had to walk on the stage to get it.

But for 40 bucks you get a very nice T-shirt, a dope sticker and I think this year Terry was saying a Mug. So I definately think it's worth the money. I registered and I'm still not sure I'll be able to make it.

OK, thanks for the scoop.

I'm not so much concerned about if I'd win anything or not, as I am not wanting to show up at a "suit-and-tie party in my jeans and sneakers," if you get my meaning.

I just hate feeling out-of-place at social events. I've never been to a meet that had an admission charge, didn't know what to expect.

Don't worry about that... the spirit of both JCCS and SevenStock has been to provide a place where all can enjoy, especially those without too much means... but a lot of love and passions for their rides. I remembered when I was young and no one gave me a luv or respect, because I wasn't ballin!

I will say though... please have a little respect and at least wash your rides and clean them up a bit

BTW, we've kept more trophies at SevenStock than we have given out... not about that here!

I've been to SevenStock before (granted, it's been a loooong time; last one I went to was the first year they had RX-8's there) and know what to expect there.

I'm thinking I'll be signing up for JCCS. Sounds like fun.

(PS Bern... any spare trophies left over at SS, I'll happily help you out with that problem, heh.)

Previously unpublished pix of the last SS I went to... SSVI:

My car, then:

Just go bro. You'll have a good time. Lots of cool people and lots to look at. Well worth it even if you just go to the show as a spectator.
