The closer to Chula Vista the better.

Recommendations?

I'd be very happy with $10 per wheel mounted and balanced. About $25 a wheel is what I'm trying to avoid such as at Just Tire, Big O, etc.

...try 1 of the smaller tire shops.
I paid $40(dismonut-mount -balance) to have my GXL rims swapped out for my BBS.

Yeah, I have the unfortunate luck of getting a flat a few months back, dropped by Discount Tires.... $25 to patch it..

Needless to say....I drove home on the spare on principle alone.

Smaller independent shops are what I'm expecting.

Any smaller shop (south) San Diego area recommendations?

Well like I said their asking price is 10$ each. Not sure what price he is looking for.

If you know someone who goes to Bonita Vista High you can tell them to ask the auto shop teacher Mr. Hazel. He lets a lot of tuner boys do it for free.

C2 is the place to go for wheel/tire mounting and balancing. He does most the autox winning cars in San Diego and his prices are fair. I'd call them cheap for the quality of work he does.

Actually, my first semester of college was at Southwestern. Go Apaches (are they still called that?)!

I'll check out C2 as well.

All great suggestions. Thanks to all.

You should know. I saw your name on the archive faculty list as Professor for Sex Education.

Wait a minute. Late 40's, early 50's. Are you the reason for all these Baby Boomers???

Seriously, considering Southwestern wasn't established until 1961 (http://www.swccd.edu/2ndLevel/index.asp?L1=1), that would have been difficult.

I lived in San Diego only for that semester. Otherwise, only lived in Seattle and now essentialy the North OC.

I'm looking to get down there next Tuesday. If there is anything going on then, let me know and I'll stop by.
