Yes
For me paying the fine was cheaper. Buying a cat, smog pump, stock ecu, removing EBC and so on.
YES the ticket you rec in the mail will offer you
-Pay a fine and don't go to court or bother fixing it
(just say you work or never have time to fix it)
- Take it to a ref and pay a smaller fine
-Got to traffic school and pay a medium fine
pay the fat ticket and forget about it.. keep your setup

im sure you could make a complete set by buying used stuff and keep it in case this happens again. just go to the for sale sections and post a 'wanted to buy: stock airbox and stock primary turbo hose. You have the stock secondary one. also a wanted to buy: stock intercooler and hose, it looks like you need both.
should be a fun learning exercise. its plug in play. it will be easier to put the stock stuff on than putting back on your aftermarket pieces. That cold air intake and the hard pipe( it looks like) you have on the primary turbo are a biotch to get on.
you are missing that air pump. if you go to a smog place that isn't stingy about visual they wont even notice.

Also if you are running simplified sequential (seeing as your smog pump is out i'm guessing you are) The rates nest for the smog equipment needs to be re-setup.
I don't see it worth the time and money. That's up to you though if the ticket is more then X amount it might be worth it to you IDK.

That's why i spent almost over 1g to make mine legal , that can't do **** if your legal except they will follow you with there lights off until they catch you drifting at your fav spot , than you end paying $370 for driving without consideration.....
