Has anybody ever heard of this place "California Registration Solutions"
This company is in the LA area. Well this Guy hit up one of my buddys and said that he can register any JDM car and he can install any egine and make it smog legal. Sound to good to be true so its probably not but he gave us his card. So has any body been to this place or ever heard of it?

never heard of it.... but i'd say anyone out there claiming they can smog legal a car and advertise it, is just asking for unwanted attention... if anything, those "fees" will be rediculous...
i knew of a japanese mechanic who imported a RHD 180SX, and he told me through all the paper-work and legalizing, it costed him 12 GRAND to be on the road! i laughed and said are you serious? and he didn't laugh at all with me... but shoot legalizing that car costed more than the car itself??? i don't know about all that...
but anyway, yeah, anyone heard of this " jdm dude"?

Sounds like some serious bullshit to me. The only shop on the West Coast that I knew about was Motorex and they are shut down. So I would really watch your back with this guy. I'm sure the cops will have him shut down soon enough anyway.

what happen was we were out in la at a car meet and my roommate said that he was looking in to putting in a rb25 in his 240. Well no more then 10 sec. thes guy comes up and says that he can do it for about 6K turn key with smog papers, so then he hand us his card.

I know it sounds corny and cliche'ish but if it's sounds too good to be true....then it probably is.
How about checking their business profile via BBB? It might not have much or anything...but you could start there.

I did that I also map quested the address but nothing. Well the room mate is young and dumb and he his spending daddys money so he is going to go with this guy. You and I both agree it is to good to be true but I just want to watch out for this kid. I would hate to see him burned. Ok so does any body know of someone that can install a RB26 in a 240sx, and no not my 240.

Could it be a SCAM!!!
Here you go 'bro...went and checked it out. Hit Pacific Blvd in H.P. and as you can see, it's just a little office upstairs... There is a California Registration Solutions on the business signs. So, I don't know if it is all a scam...
It's like T.J. down there, nothin' but Mexi#@ns all over the place.
So, I hope this helped. Sorry, I didn't rotate the images. But here it is:
Where did you find this listing anyways? Better watch those PennySaver ADS...

If your friend wants a legit place to buy an engine from, I recommend G-Speed. They are well-known in the Toyota AE86 community, and have a good reputation. They WON'T help with registration or under-the-table stuff, but they WILL sell you hard-to-find motors from overseas.

REnthusiaSTS, Thanks for getting me those pics. I will pass them on.
Scotty305, Yeah I know of gspeed they're a good place to get a engine but some shops wont install their motors or warrenty the work because they have a problem with not testing them prior to shipping. Dont get me wrong, I know alot of people that never had a problem with them, although there are a few out there that have. Just two weeks ago a guy I meet got a JDM engine with 30,000 miles. After five minutes of looking over the engine I notice the the brake booster was on the left side, then I looked at the plate the the machinic put on it to showing that the belt was replaced at 78,000. So I told the guy that he needed to take the engine back because it was a US spec engine with who knows how many miles.
