Gumball 3000

Anybody else at the start this afternoon at the Santa Monica Pier? It was siiiick... Highlights: 2 Veyrons, an SSC Ultimate aero, Jaguar XJ220, about a dozen Lambos, a half dozen GT-Rs and SLRs, etc. Insane!

I shot a long video of the cars idling (and some revving and tire smoking) on their way out of the lot and will post soon...

was funny, a lot of them tried to drift when they paraded the course. The Vette was understeering trying to make donuts. The traction control wouldn't let the R35 burn out or spin at all. there was a cutlass on like 32's!!! was ridiculous, literally. of course the other exotics were pimp juice.

Lol, totally! I thought this little Fiat was straight up going into the crowd it got so loose on the burnout. The first SLR McClaren that pulled out laid down a long strip of rubber and my pants got wet! Pretty much the best car show ever.

Out of pure curiosity, what finalized your decision to not inform the West section of this event?

At least you posted pics

Wow, that's quite a presumptuous statement... My girlfriend saw an SLR McClaren all done up with Gumball graphics on Saturday morning, so I looked it up and saw that it started at 1pm that day. That finalized my decision to walk over to the pier from my apt, don't take it personally

Yea, get $40k for the entry fee and make sure you know important people that know the gumball people so they can consider letting you in.
