Hey AznPhoenix, thats a nice idea. I'm not really much of a religous guys, but would be nice to hang out with a few local people.
I'm in 90501 so pretty local. Whats up with you FD? Haven't seen it at any of the recent meets.
Well wish you well on this project of yours.

I think Christians have contaminated enough of US culture over the past few years - leave car culture alone.

there is only one god... Felix Wankel
I think combining religion with something like a car club is irrational because its being extremely exclusive and i dont see where one connects to the other...i mean hell i wouldnt wanna meet all the Jewish FD owners...owning an FD is already bad enuf lol
btw im Jewish...culturally not religiously...

yea, the idea is a lil' eh... I mean, honestly, car culture is something that ties everyone on this board together, and if there's something I learned about friends, you don't talk about religion or politics with them because you'll always say something you'll regret. that's my .02

i don't know... im a pretty staunch christian and i just feel that there would be a conflict of interest for people with nice cars to be congregating. i feel that if there is a congregation, it should be in a church; car culture is saturated as it is, to sub-divide groups even more will water down the essence of car culture even more..

Thanks to those who support the effort and for those who are "pirates" etc. what can I say? This is a new idea and I'm sure it's either going to get alot of support or alot of criticism but I have to see if it works out. If you can run to cure disease, why can't you drive for Christ?

While I probably won't be congregating to such an event I wish you luck. If you get it going more power to you. I don't understand why people are giving you a hard time getting a meet going for like minded individuals. 7's and Christ. Good things are cars aren't called RX6 huh?
I mean, not even belligerents get this kind of... oh wait yes we do! Damn Anti-Belligerents.
I don't tend to go to Sermon/Prayer meeting... the Catholic upbringing managed to beat that part of my faith out of me.
Now on to the great debate... Ninja > Pirate or Pirate > Ninja ???

I for one go to church every Sunday along with my wife and 4 kids......I just don't get it.
What are we gonna do? Circle our cars and have a prayer meeting?
Convert an old Drive in and have doLuck preach while we tune our AM radios to 520 and listen in?
As far as Blasphemy.....
I can see Aretha Franklin in the Blues Brothers......."don't you Blaspheme in here No way!"

i'm a born Christian turned Aetheist. don't try reconverting me or you'll seriously regret it, i find religious people to be the biggest hipocrits on the face of the planet, i don't try forcing my beliefs on people.
i'm with everyone else, i don't see the point of merging these 2 groups into a club, it just sounds wacky to me since there is already church for gathering.
